I am actually facing issue with Ikea door sensor (Parasoll) - It was working properly for severl weeks, but now, seems Zigbee network was somehow changed, and it starts to automatically turning ON/OFF my Aqara H1 switch on sensor open/close.

Based on what I read, it is due to to Ika sensor automatically tries to trigger on/off events in assigned zigbee group and appearently, my H1 switch was assigned to same group.

I found, that homey has nice developer tool - [Homey Developer Tools](https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/zigbee)
But still no meaningful configuration otpions there - just visualisation of network.

Is there any way how to change it ? (eighter ikea sensor turn off auto trigger or change goruping) ?

Thanks

No, Homey doesn’t support Zigbee groups.

AFAIK the issue only occurs when the IKEA devices is being routed through the Aqara device, but you also cannot force the IKEA device to _not_ be routed through your H1 switch (the only option would be to move one out of range of the other, but that’s usually not practical).

**Hello,**

I have around nine Ikea door sensors at home, but I’ve only had this issue with one of them. After some time, it started turning the relay on and off directly on the Aqara H1 switch. I finally lost patience and replaced the Aqara switch with an Ikea Rodret (I have about seven of those as well), but once again, only this one is causing issues.

At first, it started controlling the Lidl light above the kitchen table from the bathroom (besides the one in the bathroom, which is correctly set in the flow). Then, a few days later, it also started controlling another light in the utility room.

I have no idea how this is happening only with this one out of seven, while the others work perfectly fine. 😕

It could be due to routing changes in your Zigbee network, where the sensors found another route (which is normal in a Zigbee mesh) through the devices that are now being switched all of a sudden.

So then it is missing functionality which should be pointed to Athom developers. As whole Homey become unreliable when devices act random actions.

Just wrote to HOMEY support.

I have the same problem with the IKEA Rodret and the Aqara Smart Plug. When I press a button on the Rodret remote, the Aqara Smart Plug gets triggered.
It’s super annoying.

Just a heads-up: I’ve reached out to both the IKEA and Aqara teams to get more insight into where this issue might be coming from. Aqara devices are known to not always play nicely with Zigbee routers from certain other manufacturers _(as listed [here](https://community.hubitat.com/t/xiaomi-aqara-devices-pairing-keeping-them-connected/623))_, and the problem with IKEA devices affecting Aqara devices is also a known issue on the Zigbee2MQTT platform _(as seen [here](https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/discussions/17244))_.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can easily fix on our end. I’ll update here as soon as I get more information from IKEA and Aqara!

I hope you are aware of more problems with Ikea (mostly lamps) and Aqara devices in one Zigbee network, @Doekse? Aqara sensors loosing connection when routed by Ikea lamps?

This has been ignored by Athom since years while the Aqara part if this community is full of it.

I think there is a bigger picture here… 🙂

Aqara devices are notorious for not always playing nice with many Zigbee router devices. You can find more about this issue in these discussions: [Home Assistant Community](https://community.home-assistant.io/t/aqara-sensors-keep-disconnecting/751436/1), [Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/1ii970p/do_aqara_zigbee_30_devices_still_play_by_their/), and [Hubitat Community](https://community.hubitat.com/t/xiaomi-aqara-devices-pairing-keeping-them-connected/623).

Unfortunately, Aqara’s Zigbee implementation remains a bit of a black box, as they haven’t provided any official documentation. This leaves us relying on reverse engineering to make integration possible.

I’ve been in touch with Aqara, and during CES, they mentioned they plan to start sharing their Zigbee implementation documentation. However, I haven’t seen anything materialize yet. Fingers crossed it happens soon!

Noticing the many complaints on the forum, I decided to test an Aqara Temperature & Humidity sensor with an IKEA E14 Tradfri bulb using Zigbee2MQTT a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the sensor stopped reporting after just a few hours. So it doesn’t look like a Homey issue to me.

The IKEA team has always been super helpful, so I reached out to them today to see if they might have any insights into what’s going on.

I’ll keep you’ll posted!

That probably depends on which Zigbee coordinator you were using. Perhaps the same as Homey’s Zigbee chip?
Other coördinators have no problems, or much less at least it seems.

Please reach out to @TedTolboom as developer of the Aqara app as well. I have seen (read) him being a bit critical towards Athom for getting the support he needed…

And thanks for at least trying to investigate some in this problem and letting us know…!

I was using the Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1, which indeed uses the same Zigbee chipset we use in the Homey Pro _(Early 2023)_.

And no worries, I’m in close contact with @TedTolboom as he is one of the development agencies we work closely with on a regular basis 😉

And that seems to be the problem.
I haven’t found similar complaints in those numbers about other chipsets.
If you want to investigate any further, try a CC2652 based coördinator for example
That one doesn’t seem to give any problems with Ikea bulbs and Aqara sensors…

I moved actually from Homey Pro to HA + Z2M – as randomly triggered devices was not accepted by my family 🙂

Actually non of these issuess occurrs there - even when ikea parasoll (door sensor) is routed via Aqara H1 Switch.

Abe, Athom:

TL;DR:
This years old phenomenon of unresponsive Aqara sensors combined with Ikea lights + Pro19 is real, and it’s still the same with a Pro23 (following posts I read here).
Both Homey models have different zigbee chips (if I’m informed well).
But, the phenomenon did not, and it does not occur on my z2m + [ZBT-1](https://www.home-assistant.io/connectzbt1/), and later [Sonoff ZB dongle-E](https://sonoff.tech/product/gateway-and-sensors/sonoff-zigbee-3-0-usb-dongle-plus-e/) (EmberZNet), both equipped with an EFR32MG21 series chip.
_Apparently z2m has found a way to “align” the Aqara’s and Ikea lights._

Somewhat longer version:
Aqara is the naughty boy, but only _when combined_ with Homey + Ikea lights.
But, my 16 Aqara sensors work here w/o issues @ z2m, on _two_ different z2m [recommended](https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/adapters/emberznet.html) dongles: at first the
[ZBT-1](https://www.home-assistant.io/connectzbt1/), and later on the [Sonoff ZB dongle-E](https://sonoff.tech/product/gateway-and-sensors/sonoff-zigbee-3-0-usb-dongle-plus-e/) (coordinator: EmberZNet 7.4.1GA -
chip: [efr32mg21a020f768im32](https://www.silabs.com/wireless/zigbee/efr32mg21-series-2-socs/device.efr32mg21a020f768im32?tab=specs) from Silicon labs).

I’ve 2 Pro 2019’s which don’t have the same zigbee chip as the Pro23 (AFAIK).
It ran fine with 12 Aqara sensors (in the fridge, outside, upstairs), no routers!
Only as soon as I added Ikea lights, random Aqara sensors stopped reporting, except for the contact sensors (they tend to stick to their initial route);
It all went back to normal when I replaced the Ikea lights with Lidl lights.

Just out of curiosity I started with H.A. and z2m. All ran fine. After I added the Ikea lights, still everything runs fine.

Here’s you can see a PIR using an Ikea light’s router:

This problem is extremely annoying. And what’s even more annoying is that this problem is not openly communicated anywhere!
Neither with the Aqara app, nor with the IKEA app, nor with Homey Pro and their product recommendations!

I have several Aqara smart plugs, several Parasoll sensors, and have now lost a full load of my refrigerator and freezer due to this bug. All ruined, just because these stupid sensors are up to some mischief!

This is simply unacceptable!

Incidentally, it was not easy to figure out that there was an error at all, and where it was located.
At first I suspected Araqa. Then Homey. And now it turns out that the scope of the problem is much more widespread.

In any case, this does not reflect well on any of the three. It’s very unprofessional.

Incidentally, I noticed that this error actually occurs when pairing the devices.
I had deactivated the IKEA app as a test and tried to repair the Aqara smart plug.

Homey then displayed an error message that a driver for the IKEA app was not available. This seems to indicate that the devices are not correctly assigned when pairing them at the beginning.

 ![IMG_1110.PNG](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/9/e/9e1e6096b7bef52f5a3cab35d531fc731d48a11e.jpeg)

I really hope that Homey, Aqara and IKEA will grow up soon and solve this incredibly annoying bug very very soon!

But since it looks very much like a problem that Aqara is causing, I’ll probably never buy any device from them again…
