# How to update device if you have paired it on the Homey Pro?

Hello,

I am thinking on switching from unreliable homekit and proprietary apps to centralize everything on Homey Pro.

I have a variety of devices, Meross, Tuya, Eve, Hue etc and they always have in app firmware update.

If I pair them directly on Homey, I wont see them on their respective app right ?  
If so, how do I update them?

Depends on the protocol that the devices use. Homey cannot update firmware for Zigbee and Z-Wave devices, and since devices using those protocols can only pair with a single controller, if they are connected to Homey directly you cannot update them.

Devices that use WiFi typically _are_ able to connect to both Homey and their original app, so firmware updates should work in that case.
