# How to monitor power consumption correctly in case I'm sending the data from my main electric meter to Homey?

Hi,

If you have devices that report power consumption to Homey, Homey will aggregate this data to display the total power consumption of these devices combined. This works well unless you also send data from your main electric meter to Homey. When you do this, you don’t want Homey to double-count the power usage by combining both sets of data. How to address this?

In advanced settings of this device set “include in total” to “no”.
