# Homey self host in Mac mini intel 2018

Hi

I would like to install the self hosted server on my 2018 Intel Mac, unfortunately it appears my Mac is to old, it needs it’s telling me it needs to Mac os26 Apple silicon. Is it possible to run the Linux version on my mac?

Maybe this will work?

Docker Desktop can run the Docker containers. I don’t know if it works on Mac since I only have experience with Windows
