# Homey Pro as universal remote surface

I don’t know what you mean with ‘surface’, but I’m familiar with the Harmony remotes.  
About the virtual device: when you use an _advanced virtual device_, part of the [Device Capabilities app](https://homey.app/en-gb/app/nl.qluster-it.DeviceCapabilities/Device-Capabilities/), you can create a device which functions as a central remote for any device you (have) install(ed) @ your Homey;
