Hello,

I am experiencing recurring connection issues with my **Homey Pro (2026)** while editing **Advanced Flows**.

**Environment**

- Homey Pro (2026)
- Latest Homey Pro firmware
- Official Sonoff app v1.13.1
- Official Ajax app (latest version)
- Advanced Flows edited via **my.homey.app** on a Windows PC
- Homey mobile app installed on iPhone and iPad

**Issue**

While working in the Advanced Flow editor, Homey intermittently becomes unreachable.

When this happens:

- The web interface disconnects.
- The Homey mobile app is also unable to connect.
- Sometimes I receive an **HTTP 429 – Too Many Requests** error.
- After several minutes, Homey reconnects automatically without any restart.

This has happened multiple times today.

**Additional observations**

- The issue appears while actively editing Advanced Flows.
- At one point, all my Flows were unexpectedly moved from their folders back to the root folder.
- After an automatic update of the Ajax app, the Ajax connection was lost and only recovered after restarting the app. I have since disabled automatic app updates.
- My Sonoff roller shutters continue to report their position correctly once Homey reconnects.

**Questions**

1. Is this a known issue with the current Homey Pro firmware or the Advanced Flow editor?
2. Does the **HTTP 429 – Too Many Requests** error originate from Homey Cloud or from Homey itself?
3. Can editing Advanced Flows generate enough API requests to temporarily block access?
4. Are there any diagnostic logs that I can provide to help identify the cause?
5. Is there any known stability or memory issue related to Advanced Flow?

My Homey is installed in a **remote holiday apartment** , so stable remote access is essential.

I would also like to ask whether there are any plans to introduce a **secure remote reboot function** for Homey Pro. In situations where Homey becomes unreachable, the only option is currently a physical power cycle, which is not practical for remote installations.

Thank you for your support.

Kind regards!

As far as I know, it’s not possible to get rate limited on the Homey itself. Are you sure it originates from Homey and not any of the apps that you’re using on it? 429 error is a server-side error also, so a reboot is usually not the fix (probably just the time that Homey is offline and stops making requests during the reboot is what resets the request counter).

You can use any WiFi connected smart plug (e.g. a TP-Link Tapo smart plug, those are high quality and cheap) to remotely power cycle your Homey.

Also, how do you expect a “secure” remote reboot solution by Athom to work? If Homey can’t reach the servers, how can it receive a reboot command? This is not something Athom can build, but you can use a workaround with the smart plug like I mentioned

Thanks. Then could bi only Ajax app.

**Solved!**

The issue was caused by using the same SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, which looks like mesh network for Homey. After splitting them into separate SSIDs and connecting Homey only to the 2.4 GHz network, all connectivity issues disappeared. Thanks to Athom Support for helping identify the root cause.

The root cause being that Homey only works with 2009-era WiFi networks?
