# \[Homey Pro 2016 - 2019\] Informationen und Diskussionen zu neuen Firmware-Updates

Dieser Thread wurde erstellt um den bisherigen Thread [Neue Homey Firmware und App Updates](https://community.homey.app/t/neue-homey-firmware-und-app-updates/42695) etwas übersichtlicher zu gestalten.  
In diesem Thread soll es dabei **nur** um neue Firmware-Updates für den _ **Homey Pro 2019 -2016** _ gehen.

Das Changelog zu neu veröffentlichten Firmwares ist hier zu finden:

Hatte kein Backup Problem, aber habe es trotzdem installiert.  
Läuft, hat aber sehr lange gedauert, bis Homey wieder hochgefahren war. Liegt aber vielleicht auch daran, dass mein Arbeitsspeicher zu 100% voll ist.

Update auf 8.1.4 hat auf 1 von 2 HP2019 zu einem veritablen Durcheinander geführt. Dzt. kann keine Verbindung zu den Devices hergestellt werden … werde mal wieder PTP probieren.

Ich hatte bis zum Schluss keine Probleme damit. Mittlerweile hab ich den 2019 zurück gesetzt und er steht zum Verkauf. Mal sehn, wenn ich ihn nicht zu einem angemessenen Preis verkaufen kann, wird er reaktiviert und unterstützt den early 2023. Bis dahin kann ich leider nicht mehr helfen.

Ich hatte auch keine Probleme mit dem Update, allerdings hatte ich zuvor auch schon den RC installiert, aber auch ohne Probleme.

2x Neustarten, und Apps neustarten, jetzt läuft er wieder, natürlich noch inkl. des Fav Flow bugs auf iOS 😉

Bin gespannt, was das heißt. Zwangs-Update für alle Apps außer die mit besonderen Rechten?  
Ich wäre ehrlich gesagt dafür. Bei meinen Apps sind noch so viele uralte Versionen installiert und die bekommen sonst nie Updates.

Oder heißt das, dass bei diesen Ausnahmen kein Auto-Update durchgeführt werden **kann**?  
Ich wäre jedenfalls gegen ein Zwangs-Update, da ich gerne Kontrolle darüber haben möchte, wann ich welche App aktualisiere. Treten Probleme auf, kann ich möglicherweise handeln. Sollte ein Update aber nachts oder wenn ich nicht zu Hause bin durchgeführt werden und es zu Problemen kommen, dann gibt’s Ärger mit der Frau. 😉

Als Entwickler wäre ich schon daran interessiert, wenn die Installationen alle den aktuellen Stand haben. Fehlermeldungen für alte Versionen sind aber nicht so häufig.  
Manchmal muss man aber eine Migration von einer App-Version zur nächsten einbauen (Capabilities hinzufügen o.ä…). Den Code hätte ich schon ganz gern wieder los. Aber so weiß man nie, von welcher Version irgendwann das Update durchgeführt wird. Man muss also immer den alten Kram mitschleppen.

Ich dachte alle App aktualisieren sich automatisch, wüsste jetzt nicht wo man das einstellen könnte.
