Just updated. Battery info is now visible which is a great step forward.

The way its displayed though is not very insightfull,

 ![IMG_0481](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/1/3/13881ae999d0e4118592ebf759b513c244973846.jpeg)

I personally think that the way home assistant shows the energy flow is nice, if we incorporate those flows combined with the house graph it would look great.

@Marc_Jurriens Do you thing your values are ok? Like “Stroomnet” and “Huis” are the same!

</div>

We are looking at a beta and I am focussing on the visualisatio .

“Stroomnet”. Should be comming from p1: total import.

“Solarpanels” should be production by solar panels

“Battery” is confusing as there is import and export, I think we would need two numbers.

“House” is actually a calculation… that is complex… it would need to show total used electricity no matter where it came from, and that can be:

Import from grid
Direct used solar energy

I think the battery is not part of that calculation since it is either filled from grid (so:import from grid) or by the panels…

</div>

“Stroomnet” is what is imported grom the grid.

I figure they are still working on what “house” needs to be, thats a calculation with some choices…

I can imagine its:

Plus all imported from grid
Minus all imported in battery
Plus all exported from battery
Plus all generated solar
Minus all exported to grid

Here is the way my SolarEdge displays the relevant values for production (used for consumption, used to charge the battery, export to grid) and consumption (direct from solar panels, used from battery, import from grid). I believe the nomenclatura of the energy tab data representation should go along this line as it is probably the same independent of the solar system in use.

Can someone help me to understand those deviations ? Data are taken at the same time, around 20:07, sources are the same - Solax inverter data, accesses via TCP Multiplexer…

## **Home Assistant data**

Grid 33,5kWh import
11,6kWh Solar power
House consumption - 44.6 kWh
Battery discharge - 3.4 kWh, battery charge 3.1 kWh
EV charger - 16.1 kWh

## Homey Data

Grid 35.56kWh import **- OK but on dashboard, I see 48,3 kWh ?**
12kWh Solar power - OK
House consumption - 48.3 kWh \*\*- okay \*\* (the full day data matches )
Battery discharge - 3.4 kWh, battery charge 3.1 kWh **- what is 12 kWh on the dashboard ?**
EV charger - 16.1 kWh - **but shown on dashboard as 36,3 kWh ?**

I really like Energy. Now, I’m trying to dive a little bit deeper. My plan is to use values from “Energy” like the total energy, gas or water consumption for the actual day in a flow. Like “When energy consumption for today is higher then…”.

Maybe it’s to easy…but I can’t see an any possibility.

Any ideas?

You could consider using the inspiration, the [Power by the Hour app](https://community.homey.app/t/20535).
No flows needed.

Power by Hour is actualy in use, but my hope was to replace the app with system default “Energy” functions.

Anyone else noticed this? I am pretty sure it was correct some beta’s ago. I didn’t change a thing to my sensors but it seems that the Grid - Solar - Home calculation is not working anymore, I am sure it did before. I’ve also noticed this on a screenshot a couple of messages above this one. Does it have to do with the latest changes on the solar panel inversion possibility in Solar Panel Devices?

Some changes were released in mobile app 9.1.0 build 1681 that should not have been included. They cause the issues you are seeing with incorrect kWh values for Grid/Home/Ev etc. A fix will be published soon!

Hi @Robin, do you still assume that the wrong consumption values come from the devices and have nothing to do with the HP23?
I probably haven’t read all the topics and posts about this issue, but from what I know it’s both Z-Wave and Zigbee devices.

**Z-Wave devices**

You can check Insights shortly after such a wrong value has been reported. If the peak is also in Insights it is safe the say the device reported the wrong value. Note: Insights does average over time, so the peak will disappear when looking further back.
