Is there a plan to make the real-time data (like import/export power) from the energy dongle directly available using the Homey App SDK? It would make sense to have this data centrally available on the Homey Bridge / Pro itself so that more than 2 apps can have access and not every app needs to communicate with the dongle. ---

Most Homey users already have a (HomeWizard) P1. Does it make sense to replace it with the Homey Energy Dongle or in my case add it to a P1 splitter because the HomeWizard P1 is required for the HomeWizard Plug-in Battery. ---

In my humble opinion you don’t need the Homey P1 dongle when you already have a Homewizard P1 dongle > [@eovermeer](#): > > or in my case add it to a P1 splitter No need for that. Hi all, I’m looking into buying the new Energy Dongle. My issue is that I live in an apartment on 3rd floor and the power meter are in the basement of the building. Therefore, the dongle would not be able to connect to the same wifi as the Homey Pro. We do have another wifi in the basement thought. So my question is: Would I be able to connect the Energy Dongle to my Homey Pro when they are on 2 different networks? Thanks! 🙂 ---

Got it today! A lot of problems. That’s quite annoying because it all went by itself here. I did miss the information in the manual on how to install it. But suddenly a pop-up appeared that the dongle was connected and whether I wanted to install it. I did this, then had to enter wifi information and then it immediately performed an update. In a few seconds the dongle was online in my Homey. Oh yes, I still had to indicate how many phases I was using (it didn’t take that over from my P1 meter). But it works fine, I’m satisfied. Annoying that it can also go differently, maybe someone from Homey can help you with that. Otherwise try again, with only the Dongle on the P1 meter? (if you hadn’t done that already of course). ---

Hi all, Just got my dongle in (finally). Plugged it in. Red light. Gave it juice through usbc and I got a breathing blue light. But the app doesn’t see it. I have resetted the dongle. Still no pop-up of the dongle. Bluetooth for homey app is on. Anyone has any idea how to connect it? I’m very mad that I can’t call athom themselves and a ticket will take 1-2 WEEKS. Ok had some struggles as well, at first breathing blue led, tried connecting using the app \> add device \> and waiting \> refused the wifi pass, then was blinking red. Not sure if that meant not getting enough power. Tried resetting (which should really be in the brief manual). That did not seem to change anything for me. So then made it so there was a power source and it turned purple for a short while (still not sure what that meant).
