Hi community. Would that sound reasonable to ask Homey Pro to be onboarded in Apple Carplay / Android Auto ? We may have some nice automations like Garage Door Opening / Alarm on/off / Lights on/off that could be made available on the screen. I know are entering the “security” area but having a remote in your car sounds also unsecure. Thanks ---

I changed my reply to address both cases as they provide some workaround. _Note it’s AI generated content proved to be working for Android, not sure about Siri/Homekit as I understood it’s kind of partial integration only._ ---

Would love this as well. Would be so nice to be able to start flows and receive messages from Homey while driving. Hope the team is working on implementing this ---

For the moment i use a workaround, a low cost shelly relay, not for switching something but as a carplay forwarder. It is registrated in carplay cloud. Then via carplay, shelly app, i am able to switch on this relay. Instead of using the relay, a webhook is send from this shelly device to homey which in turn switch on the heating. ---

I still had an old Alexa echo dot v2 lying around and I connected it to a USB port in my car. An iPhone automation ensures that when connecting to CarPlay, it also automagically turns on the iPhone hotspot that the echo dot connects to. Since the echo dot is linked to the account to which my four other echo dots in my house are also connected, I can say “Set Nest to 19” - or similar commands - while driving my car. So I can also trigger an Alexa Routine that opens the garage door for me. Does this help? ---

It would have been really great if they had built a solution for Homey so you could open the garage door, etc., directly from the display. Where do we need to push to get the app in there? ---

Now that HomeKit Integration is being retired, how to manage carplay integration ? My use case is to have an indication in my carplay to know if my garage door is closed or not. ---

Not sure if answered in other threads, but I built a small app for opening garage etc from CarPlay using flows on Homey Pro: [‎CerFlomey-app - App Store](https://apps.apple.com/no/app/cerflomey/id6817366587?l=nb) You can get up to 6 Homey flows on Apple CarPlay and the same flows on iPhone widget. On newer iOS you can also pin 1 flow on Apple CarPlay widget. ---

Hi. Not currently but I am working on adding device support in addition to flows. That would allow for state. Not decided yet if to keep app as is but allow for device in widget or how to handle it. I’ll let you know once the new version is available. ---

1.0.2 Now in Appstore. Supports both flows and devices including state of devices. Works for devices with binary states like toggle open/close, on/off and so on. ---
