# Homey AI voice assistant coming in 2025?

You probably aren’t aware the first Homey models had speech recognition, but this was replaced by Google/Alexa integration and ended only 4y ago “because they can do a better job”.  
Google isn’t imho 🤣🤣 “_ **Sorry, I don’t understand** _” is the most used response.
