# Homey 2023 Red pulsing

Homey 2023 went red tonight with pulsing/breathing.  
Heard a new release got pushed and would quess it broke the system? Anyone else?

I have had the same thing twice last week. Pulled the plug for a few seconds and put it back in. After a few minutes all was working fine again.

@Lennie_Bergqvist If you pull the plug leave it out between 12 to 15 minutes. Thats the best way.

My Homey Pro 2023 also died tonight.  
The last backup was v12.2.0 11/20/2024, 2:29:11 AM.  
I see that version v12.2.1 was released so I wonder if it auto updated and messed up.  
I tried leaving it offline for a while, but that did not help.  
Also tried restoring the firmware with the OTA USB Tool as recommended [here](https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/7257933460764-Understanding-the-LED-Ring-of-Homey-Pro-Early-2023), but that left the device in verifying state.  
I managed to factory reset after a while and restore from backup which seemed to work.

Your case is a copy of mine! got stuck in verify on both update and restore. But after 1 hour i unplugged it and after the factory reset and it started light blue and all i had todo were to pick the latest backup.
