# Has anyone here converted a wired security system to be smart?

I was wondering what others are using for converting from a legacy home security system. I have had my eye on konnected [https://konnected.io/](https://konnected.io/) which would be a drop in or integration to an existing alarm system. They do not offer a homey integration. I reached out to them to look into it as it could open up a market to them but they cant be the only option out there.

I see [konnected.io](http://konnected.io) supports MQTT. Homey supports MQTT also by some app’s. Dive into mqtt hub ([MQTT Hub/Gateway](https://community.homey.app/t/mqtt-hub-gateway/6766?page=53)), which can create virtual devices based on mqtt topics.
