# Google NEST Protect V2 Interface

Google recently automatically added my Nest Protects to Google Home. I assume it would be possible now to connect the Protects to my Homey Pro (early 2023) but I can’t choose the Protect in de official Google Nest app from Athom. Are there any plans to update this app or is there another way to connect my Protects to Homey? #nest #googlehome

@Rogier_Verheugen, I did see this post earlier but I would assume that there must be an easier way to add the Protecs now that Google added them to Google Home.

Hi @Sjon_Yvonne,

I understand. I don’t know anything about writing software but @Herazio his tutorial is so good and straightforward it can’t go wrong.

When starting to implement my 3 nest protects I was in doubt if I would succeed. I did.

@Rogier_Verheugen, that’s good to know. I am going to wait a little while if maybe someone has an easier solution 😊 and then I can give this a try.
