The Google Nest app is a nice addition. But unfortunately it doesn’t work properly. Adding devices via the computer works well. Only when one has two Nest cameras I have so far only managed to add one. The dual camera just doesn’t show up in the list. It also goes wrong with the flows. Although there are quite a few flow charts available, I haven’t managed to get even one to work yet. Also not the simplest such as if “Motion is detected” then “Turn on kitchen lamp”. Anyone have the same experience or am I missing something? ---

Same problem here. Added my Nest thermostat and four Nest camera’s today. I can see all camera’s in the Homey app and also in the Web app, but all four camera’s have the same name ( camera ) , but none of them is responding on a flow to send a notification on movement. 🤨 ---

Same here, using Google Nest Cams to trigger some flows but it don’t work. Have tried motion, person detected, zone activity etc… Only flow they seams to work is with the Nest Doorbell Cam, send me a snap shoot of the person in front of the camera via notification. ---

I could be wrong, but think you need a Nest Protect subscription to use snapshots? I refuse to use it, but still wish I could watch images for 24h afterwards instead 3; that’s _really_ short imo. ---

I don’t think that’s it, since i do subscribe. I’ve also attempted deleting and reinstalling the app entirely, which didn’t work either. ---

Damn, thought for a minute that was it. It doesn’t seem like google nest has any Then- and And-cards. There only seems to be When-cards. ---

Both, but the one from the community store doesn’t support snapshots from newer cameras, only legacy. ---

Bumping this thread again in hope for a solution. Does anyone know how to get snapshots to work with nest cams? I’ve tried both the official nest app and the community store nest app, though it seems only the official app supports snapshots on newer cams. The tag is available and it seems like homey does try to download it, but the image never renders. ---

I also have the same issue and repported it to support a couple of times now. Latest on May 24 this year. They know about the problem but it seems that it’s not having high enough priority in their backlog. I want to buy some more google nest cameras, but holding back as i will not be able to combine their functionality as a movement sensor (triggering outdoor lighting) Movement is obviously registered in Google home, hence it must be a webhook or similar failing (i didnt read the Api documentation) Non the less, i believe that its something that should be prioritised higher as they are popular products. ---

Google recently automatically added my Nest Protects to Google Home. I assume it would be possible now to connect the Protects to my Homey Pro (early 2023) but I can’t choose the Protect in de official Google Nest app from Athom. Are there any plans to update this app or is there another way to connect my Protects to Homey? ---

@Peter_Kawa, I assume that there must be an easier way to add the Protecs now that Google added them to Google Home but I will keep this in mind. ---

No clue, I only know Martin’s app supports Nest protect, ‘official’ app does not. I suggest to inform in the howto topic, and ask if things have changed! @Sjon_Yvonne Oh, I just checked: it’s possible to have a Ghome event start a Homey (virtual) switch. I never needed this.
