Since a few days (2 or 3) I noticed my Chromecast Audio is no longer adjusted by Home Flows.

The flows do adjust the volume bar in the Homey device, but not on the actual Chromecast.

Adjusting the volume from the Google Home app is working fine.

I use the Official app from Athom.

Hi Wilco,

I can’t relate. It works fine with a Pro 2019.
Can you think of something has changed a few days ago? An automatic Homey firmware update for example.

Hello Peter,

Where can I find the dates the Homey and/or apps are updated?

According to the changelog of the app it was not changed recently.

In the changelog of Homey is no date mentioned.

Thanks.

If I’m right the app/firmware updates are published @ timeline.
(But that’s useless in case you want to use a search function or if it was published longer than several days ago).

For apps:
In the app store, follow the “changelog” link to see the actual dates:

Thanks.

It seems my Homey is updated last week (12.6.0). Maybe that causes the problem?

Any ideas what to do/try?

I am holding back on deleting and reinstalling the Chromecasts because this wil break all my flows which include them.

Often a PtP (cut the power for 10 minutes) after a firmware update solved the weirdest issues.
An app install (without removing it prior to that) sometimes helps.

Removing and adding devices should be your last resort, but it might help.
You can try with only _ **one** _ device to see if it fixes a problem affecting multiple devices of the same app.
If it doesn’t make a difference, there’s no need to remove and add the other devices.

Concerning flow repairs, there’s a neat script for it:

> [@\[HOW-TO\]\[Pro\]\[Cloud\] - Tool to FIX (advanced) flows after removing and re-adding devices](https://community.homey.app/t/how-to-pro-cloud-tool-to-fix-advanced-flows-after-removing-and-re-adding-devices/65018):

> rotating_lightwarning Use at own risk! warning rotating_light Hi, So I just go a new house and wanted to make my Zigbee network a bit better by removing an re-adding my devices so I get a stable network. But the issue with this is you have to fix all your flows. (Ofcourse [Flow Checker App for Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.athom.flowchecker/) can indicate the broken flows) I made a small script which can help with fixing the flows. So what do you need: Device ID you would like to update - You can get this via t…

Not sure related but…

My Chromecast Second Gen also started having problems during the last couple of weeks.

Volume is muted every X minutes (not been able to deduce if random interval) while casting to TV.

If I use any app (YouTube/Google Home/Homey app) to change volume of Chromecast, the volume resets. Then it’s muted again after X minutes.
