Hi everyone.

I’ve had Homey Pro running for some time but keen to get the Energy Tab in the App working.

I have a Shelly 3EM on the Victron Inverter AC Out which I was hoping would be shown under kWh House but as you can see it’s blank and it seems to be listed under kWh Grid. I have a Shelly EM on the Grid connection but it’s just not showing up. Both devices have no been excluded from Energy and Tracks Total Energy Consumption to Yes and tried no

Really hope someone can help out here as I’m out of ideas.

nks

AFAIK the app developer should provide for the correct capabilities of their energy related devices.
In case of Shelly, you’d contact the dev (Drenso) per email, their preferred way to support their apps.

Support links are present on the app page at the homey.app store.

I’d check what energy capabilities the Shelly devices are exposing in Homey. If those look correct, it may be worth contacting the Shelly app developer to check how the energy data is being reported.

One thing worth checking: in the Homey app, open the Shelly 3EM device settings and look at how it’s classified for energy. Homey decides what lands under “House” based on the device’s energy capabilities, and a 3EM sitting on the inverter’s AC out can easily get picked up as a production meter rather than house consumption.

In the Shelly app device settings, make sure “Include in Homey Energy” is enabled, and check whether you can adjust the meter type there. The cumulative “kWh House” tile is driven by whichever device Homey treats as your house/grid meter — if nothing is flagged correctly, that tile just stays empty. If the capabilities look right (measure\_power and meter\_power both present), then as Peter says it’s worth flagging to the Shelly app developer, since Homey relies on the app exposing the correct energy capabilities.

Yes, that’s the only way for capabilities to end up correctly in Energy tab.
