# Gardena water control cannot be added

At least we know this is just around the corner, just a matter of days before a working version 2.5.1 is pushed to Homey, I would think?

I was able to install the 2.5.1 version. But when I try to install the Smart Dual Water Control it asks me to login to the Husqvarna site. Doing so immediately after logging in it says No new devices found.
Tried to register my smart water control at the Husqvarna site, but no idea what the 9 digit product number is.

That 2.5.2 needs to be put live? Only available as test now?

Testing is over, it installed automatically and the dual water control works!

Hi There!
new on this forum 🙂
just bought the dual water control without the gardena hub, the device is in pairing mode but homey does not find the device when setting up.
Am I missing some steps?

I beleive you need the gardena hub. Otherwise it won’t connect

Yes you do need the gateway from gardena

Yes, it will not work without it. It is also in the documentation of the app.
for me it works flawlessly with the new version.
(My workflow I use it now for is to turn on all the sprinklers in a zone if a cat dares to show up…)
