Hi, I was wondering if I am the only one to want the “flowname” to be available in a flow as a tag whenever a flow starts. I think this is very usefull when logging from all kinds of flows and then knowing where the logging came from without to hard code the flowname in the log entry.
I think this option would be a very nice thing to have.

Install Audit app I’d like to suggest.
It logs flownames with trigger times, amongst a load of other data.

Example:
Fitered on flowname starting with “homey ram”:

How about using the ‘Start flow xxx with text yyy’ card? xxx would be your logging flow and yyy would be the name of the calling flow available in the logging flow as a tag.

I’m not shure he meant starting flows with specific cards.

Thank for all the well meant advice. I will have a look at the audit app.
What i do now is log to telegram and google sheets and to get the flowname in those log entries i have to hard code it. A tag with the flowname would be very usefull for those log entries.

Yup, that’s how I did it as well, I fully support your request to be able to enter just a tag with the current flow name in it.

Maybe you want to check out the Simple Log app.
It can add [trigger/condition/action/error] log cards to certain/some/all flows with a script. It also puts the flow name in the cards.

> [@\[APP\]\[Pro\] Simple (Sys) LOG - Use this app for Simple (Sys) Logging](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-simple-sys-log-use-this-app-for-simple-sys-logging/77533/6):

> Script to automaticly include Simple Logging cards into your flows Use this script to automaticly add logging cards to your (advanced and normal) flows: It adds logging to each flowcard’s error catch in advanced flows. Also it adds cards to the triggers (WHEN), conditions (AND) and actions (THEN). It will generate one Automater flowcard in each flow. This card can be used to configure each flow on it’s own: Update: When you set this to No, the Autmoater card itself will not be changed when …

Log snippet, the “app” row shows the auto-inserted flow name:
