Would it be possible to add the option to select a dashboard to use as the Home screen? This way all devices in the household can choose to use the same Home screen. Right now for every device i have to recreate the Home screen as it does not sync across devices. ---

This does not necessarily contradict the request. If the “homeboard” can be configured locally for each device, everyone can still have his personal dashboard. ---

Not everyone in my family wants to spend the time creating a personal dashboard, but everyone does want to be able to control the lights. And the controls available in the devices tab are too granular (every single switch is separate, and you have to click through each to adjust the dimmer settings). AFAICT dashboards are almost completely hidden in the app (more\>dashboards\>specific dashboard) so they are not useful as a way to provide everyone with a way to easily open homey and control the lights. Being able to use an existing dashboard on a user’s home page, or launch homey directly into a dashboard, or launch a honey dashboard through an entirely separate android app/widget would achieve what I want. ---

Make it possible to mark a dashboard as favourite (like devices and flows) and make it possible to put a tile on the homescreen (also like devices and flows.) That is much more userfriendly than to click more, click dashboards and click a dashboard…(especially for phone users) ---

Hello Emile, this is not good choice. I think everyone can make a decision if he want to use existed dashboard or build new from the beginning. I changed my phone and work about hour with home screen is gone. And now? I just use only few widgets because I dont want spend time again. And with another device again. Is this that what you want? ---

Since I don’t want to bother with the fact that my wife and two kids have to turn in their phones when something changes or a device gets added, all our phones are using Apple Home. It’s so much easier and pretty. Every other screen we have scattered around the house has a custom made dashboard from Home Assistent that i can change from one central location. ---

What do you mean exactly? I’m aware of other systems doing the job as well, or (way) better, but this topic is about Homey Dashboard, and on how to improve it? ---

I have another question on home tab/dashboard. When home tab editing was changed to be similar to dashboard editing I made a ’dashboard’ in home tab. Seem to work but some widget (eg. Timeline) does not always update properly when starting app (iOs). Seems to be related to if app is still in the background of iPad. If swiped away before start timeline is updated, else a tap on ’show all’ might be needed. Is the functionality for this dashboard use on home tab supposed to be the same as on dashboard tab? /Jan ---

It would be much easier to use Dashboard on your mobile if you could create a shortcut on your desktop. If you don’t want others to have access, you can simply can chosse not to create a shortcut. ---

Dear Emile, I also think that an option to “ **copy** ” an existing dashboard to your homescreen dashboard is sensible. It could at least serve as a template for your Home Screen. And if you make changes to it, it is only saved in the homescreen because it is a copy. Then you also have what you Emile wants and what people in this thread want. I understand that it also need to be a way to make it personal, That’s why it is important to give use choice. I am sure a lote of the family members don’t want to bother to set up a dashboard every time they change phones. They doesn’t even want to do it once. They just want to turn on or of lights or check if the door is locked etc… Not everyone is a automation enthousiast and they just want it to work and maintained. Now every change I need to change it also on their phone. Every new phone I need to set up to whole dashboard again. That is just not a good way to do that I am afraid. So for people that want to use their own dashboard leave it like that but give us a option or toggle to override it one time and use one of the dashboards you made for the family. So you can create central management of the Family dashboard and leave the option to have a personal dashboard if you want. ---

That’s my point. My family can’t be bothered to always go to the dashboard tab when there is a homescreen. Now it is just useless for them unless I make a dashboard for them every time and add changes I make to every phone and start again with new phones. There should just be a option to select a dashboard to use as homescreen and keep it in sync when I make a change to it or something.
