# ⚡️ Does my smart meter work with Homey Energy?

Hi Jonathan,

Awesome to see your app already working with Homey Energy!

If you scroll up a bit, you’ll find a similar issue reported with Qubino devices. For the meter values to show up in the Homey Energy overview, the device does indeed need to report a kWh value to Homey. You can read more about how that works [here](https://apps.developer.homey.app/the-basics/devices/energy#measuring-devices).
