I would also be very interested in support for the P1 and D0 versions of the Zendure smart meter so that they can be integrated with the Energy Dashboard. This would provide a strong solution for the German market, as these meters use a widely adopted optical standard.

So far, I have found that Tibber and IOmeter are compatible. However, when using a Zendure energy storage system in a smart setup, the D0 interface becomes necessary.

The EcoTracker, which is supported by Zendure, is also not supported by the Homey Energy Dashboard. 😫

The HomeWizard P1 appears to be supported both by Zendure and by the Homey Energy Dashboard, which could make it a suitable solution for you. However, I cannot use it due to the lack of a P1 port in Germany. I need something based on infrared like the D0.

To be clear, the Homey Energy Dashboard isn’t the problem; the problem is that there isn’t a corresponding Homey app for the everHome EcoTracker IR.

I also use the everHome EcoTracker IR with my Zendure energy storage system, so I’ve currently integrated it into Homey via Home Assistant and then through the Homey Home Assistant Community app.
But of course, I’d prefer to have everything integrated directly into Homey.

### Edit

@mike4president, I have submitted an official request to Athom, resp. @Doekse.

Exactly what I think as well, and it doesn’t stop in Germany. In the Netherlands, we’d for sure also benefit from it!

Thanks for submitting this idea. I agree that the lack of an official everHome app is a key issue, and the Ecotracker appears to be a solid IR smart meter worth supporting.

I fully support this proposal, especially since the Ecotracker is compatible not only with Zendure but also with EcoFlow. An official everHome app with integration into the Homey Energy Dashboard would be a great addition. I would also appreciate support for the Zendure D0.

I will check in with the everHome team next week, they are working on a Homey integration.

Just got word from the everHome team that they’ve submitted the everHome app for Homey! You can find the test version [here](https://homey.app/a/cloud.everhome/test/).

Please note that we haven’t tested the integration ourselves yet, so you may still encounter bugs or unexpected behavior during testing.

Happy testing!

That was really quick, thx!

**Edit**

When using the EcotTracker IR with a local connection and with changing power, the values are updated extremely quickly, ca. \< 1 up to 2 sec. Much faster than going through Home Assistant.

Afaik, you need to create a virtual device with the [Device Capabilities](https://homey.app/a/nl.qluster-it.DeviceCapabilities/) app and including the `meter_gas` capability. With an additional flow you need to write the via MQTT incoming values into that device.

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/5/4/540d42ae7fa553c90f07332432baca3a3fddb751.png)
([Source](https://apps.developer.homey.app/the-basics/devices/energy#cumulative-measuring-devices))

To be honest, I don’t know if any further settings need to be adjusted, since I haven’t integrated either a gas or a water meter into Homey yet.

Unfortunately, not yet.

Also worth mentioning: don’t expect too much data from the meters beyond instantaneous power and possibly total energy usage. Zendure told me they’re primarily using them for load balancing their batteries.

There is some good news, though: they’re currently integrating the Homey Energy Dongle into their system, allowing it to communicate directly with their batteries.

I know this is off topic, but it may help one or two people. If there is a more appropriate forum thread for this, I would be happy to post it there instead.

I bought a Zendure SolarFlow 2400 Pro, and my experience with it was disastrous. If you look at the Zendure forum, it seems that quite a few things are currently not working properly, or at all.

My most serious issue was that, once the battery was fully charged, the system went into standby mode without continuing to cover the household’s power consumption, even though my EcoTracker reported the consumption correctly. I was in contact with Zendure support for several weeks, and they acknowledged that this is a firmware bug that has apparently been known for months. In the end, I returned my unit because dealing with all of this was taking too much time.

I then contacted Yuma Germany. Due to their own negative experiences, they apparently no longer offer Zendure products at all.

This brings me to my actual question: there are several major suppliers of battery storage systems for balcony solar installations. EcoFlow is supported through a community app, Zendure only to a limited extent, and Anker SOLIX is cloud-based and also available through a community app. Jackery support has been announced, and Hoymiles offers MQTT with its new HiBattery 4020 X.

Besides smart meters, will there also be a focus on affordable battery storage systems for home users, so that I can make full use of the Energy Dashboard?
