# Delayed start

Hi! I want a device to turn on right away when a button is pressed or, depending on whether a condition is meet, the next whole hour. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to do this?

You can use the countdown app to do that

By enabling/disabling a flow that switches on the light every hour.

With a Yes/No variable and a timer app, e.g. Chronograph.

_ **When…** _  
– Button has been pressed  
_ **And…** _  
– Condition is met  
_ **Then…** _  
– Turn on device  
_ **Else…** _ (If condition is not met)  
– Set variable “Delay” to YES  
– Start 1 hour timer

_ **When…** _  
– Condition is met (e.g. Brightness is less than x lx)  
_ **And…** _  
– Variable “Delay” is YES  
_ **Then…** _  
– Turn on device  
– Stop timer  
– Set variable “Delay” to NO

_ **When…** _  
– Timer is finished  
_ **Then…** _  
– Set variable “Delay” to NO
