# Deepfreeze temperature sensor

Hi,

Does anybody knows a temperature sensor which can handle very cold temperatures ?  
It will be used for monitoring my deepfreezer which can reach temperatures \< -30 celsius.  
I tried a Aquara/Xiaomi device but that one died in those extreme low temperatures.

The only one that crosses my mind is using a Fibaro Smart Implant mounted outside the freezer with a DS18B20 temperature probe inside.  
But for that u need power for the implant and perhaps drill a hole in the freezer for the probe.  
It won’t die like the Aqara for sure.

Don’t think any battery powered sensor will last.
