# Date/Time - how to flow based on a particular date or date range WITHOUT year

I’ve create a variable called “Season” and want to use it in an extended flow changing the scene for the lights in my main floor hallway. Season is kind of a generic term for this meaning not only the normal seasons, but things like Holiday (christmas time), my birthday, 4th of July, etc.

All of the data/time cards that seem like the ones I’d use to check require the year in the date. I thought I found my answer with the “Day Number” card - but that’s just day of the month, not year.

So how do I, for example, determine it’s the 12th of August, regardless of the year.

There is a Date & Time card “The Day and Month is (..) (..)

I used the month is card and the day number is between card with the All card or you could have the month card connect to the day card.
