# Change preferred network in Threads

My default network is set to NO in the Thread configuration, it might be due to a HA hub I had, how can I change this to Homey as preferred network?

I have similar question… What does this all mean? I don’t understand because I don’t have any other thread border routers in my house.

So you don’t have a Nest Hub 2?

I do have a Google Nest hub, and it is that hub that comes up as preferred. But if I turn off the Nest hub and keep it off, the preferred does not change. No matter what I do with Homey, the preferred stays. It gives an error message though when it can’t find the Nest hub and you go in to Matter in the menu.

What? So if you get one hub paired (in this case the Nest Hub), its impossible to ever change? What if I use iPhone?

I don’t. I’m guessing it’s coming from a Google TV Streamer (4K) I have. I did turn Thread off though… idk I’m not concerned, just was curious.
on another note matter over thread \>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\>\> z-wave
