Hi ive purchased a Candeo “C-ZB-DM201-2G”. Which is a 2 channel dimmer module.

When i add this to Homey it only comes up as a Generic Zigbee device as it states "you dont have the app installed’, which i dont think is too much of an issue.

But the main problem is, there is only then (x1) controllable ouput via the app, when there should be (x2).

Can any one help with this issue please?

Thanks 😄

The onboard Homey zigbee driver is very limited. As you noticed, it doesn’t support _ **dual** _ dimmer devices.
What you can try: Install the Tuya Zigbee test version app (because Candeo probably is a Tuya whitelabel).
Next, follow this link:
and interview the device here;
✅ Lucky: the app recognises the dual dimmer
❌ Unlucky: if it makes no difference, you’d request for support for this particular device as explained here:

> This app makes Homey support Tuya Zigbee devices! Tuya Zigbee devices are white label products and found with many brands, each brand will have a unique manufacturerName ID and this will have to be added to the app. Live version: [Tuya Zigbee App for Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.tuya.zigbee/) Test version: [Tuya Zigbee | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.tuya.zigbee/test) Thanks for all the interest in the app, I’m very thankfull for all the help and support! If you are unable to help maintain and develop the app and want to support me in any other way I’m happy for…

Ive spoken to Candeo recently and they said at this time they have no plans to develop with homey but are happy if someone in the community wants to develop an app. They suggested using the Hubitat driver as a starter - however thats groovy based so im not sure if that will work.
Is there anyone here who could and would be willing to develop the app?
Candeo offer tons of products so it would be good app to have

Hi there, just wondered if anyone had success with the Candeo dimmers, I’d like to try some out but would prefer Homey control of these.

No luck. I spoke to Candeo, they are good. They have at this stage no plans at all to work with Homey.
My workaround is add them to Hue and then they go over to homey via matter.
Works a treat and I have 9 of them in my house, including the new rd1 two way dimmers

To add to that, ive had 2 way zigbee dimmers before. I had the old Aurora ones. They were a bloody nightmare.
The candeo ones worked exactly as needed and wiring made sense (UK wiring) so they are spot on

Good luck

The Candeo website says it works with Phillips Hue

Do you have a Hue bridge to test exposing it to Homey through the Hue app?

If that doesn’t work, then I’d recommend looking at the new Samotech matter over thread dimmers
