A while ago my wireless wall switch was broken. I decided to replace it with a “logical switch” with dashboard widgets. When I couldn’t find an app, I decided to develop one. The app currently has 12 different stylings on the widget button and a “status led” that shows on or off. It is possible to add your own text to the button when initializing. Just installed the app and try to add a button to the dashboard. When selecting “choose device“ their is nothing to choose. ---

Hi, great app! I use it on my kitchen ipad dashboard. My kids can press the button when they have cleaned out the dishwasher. A flow based on power consumption measured by a smart plug switches the button to off mode. So when the dishwasher is done the button turns red. Dishwasher cleaned out and button pushed it turns green etc. etc. Some extra visual motivation to do this chore 😃 The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to auto refresh the button on the Homey dashboard. When I don’t refresh manually the button stays red. Any ideas on how to solve this? ---

Hi. Sorry, but there is no auto refresh function in the app. The reason is that I did not need this functionality when I developed the app, and therefore unfortunately did not think about it. I will try to implement auto refresh as soon as possible in a new version of the app. I have heard that it should be possible to set up auto refresh of widgets in the dashboard, but I have not been able to find out how. ---

@Jan-Ivar_Boyum Really like your buttons! One of the biggest shortcomings of all current dashboard widgets, is the fact that they are too big. I would really like to see “state buttons” (like yours!), but in a much more compact version, so that I can show many (clusters of) buttons in a relative small space. Maybe a product wich for Button Widgets! ---

Really cool buttons, I love it! But for the Iphone too big ☹ Is there a possibility to resize the buttons? ---

Buttonwidget uses the default size for Homey Widgets. I have tried making smaller widgets but they do not work properly. I will continue to research this. ---

I’m trying to create more widgets with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 buttons, but haven’t been able to get them to work in my environment. I haven’t given up, but now that it’s summer it will take a little longer. ---

Great app. I use it in Homey Pro. I do have a question though: the status indicator changes when activating the button. This causes synchronization problems, just like with lighting. Is it possible to add a push button without a status indicator? I also could use this for starting an actions. For example, I activate a flow when I go to bed. This flow switches off all lightnings, radio, and TV. In this case a status indicator is of no use. ---

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been busy with another project this summer and have had limited time to look at Homey apps. The status “light” should basically check what status the switch device it is connected to has, and display this status. As soon as I have free time I will check if this function works. I will consider whether I should make one or more of the buttons without the status “light”. ---
