Hi So i bought thie wireless switch. [https://a.aliexpress.com/\_c4tUAdcL](https://a.aliexpress.com/_c4tUAdcL) And when i add them to homey (2019) Thay added but not working When i test them, i get error this decice does not support on/off toggle. Also after the setup of the switch, the homey give me a messege that says “This device does not have app and it will be installed as unknow zigbee” So im guss this is the problem. I already have a lot of aqara switch and sensor so i dont rly understand the problem, plz help I try to setup all the wifi switch aqara has in device menu. Remote switches, meant to only trigger flows, are not supported by the generic zigbee driver. As it’s an Aqara switch, is the Aqara app installed? Hi ty for the answer Yes this is aqara remote switch and i have aqara app installed, i have few switches and sensor already working for years 🙂 Can i move the post ?to the dedicated post or i need to drlete and re ask? I didn’t double post, the other post refrence to general problem i have with homey regarding to evry device i added. ---

Its not the same problem ( at least from my perspective) I can add the aqara switch but i cant control it, this is the problem in this post. The other post is about general miss function with homey itself and add new devices ( all devices not just aqara switch.) ---

Apologies, I see now. I was just confused that in this post you’re saying _“I can add the aqara switch”_ and in your other post you’re saying _“I can’t add new devices”_, which seems to be contradictive. ---

Yes i can see y is it contradictive, but its not the same problem After servel attamps and a few homey restart i wes able to add device ( in general) But the specific problem with the switch is somthing else. Even if i cann add the device, i cant control it ---

It’s added as a generic Zigbee device, and Homey only has very limited generic Zigbee support, so it’s probably related to that. You have to wait for an app to support the device. Also, if you can add devices to Homey again, please close the post where you say you can’t. ---

Thats the tricky part Sometimes i can add and some days it dosent work. For example: it took me 12 hours and few restart to add this switch, so even if im able to add device, unfortunately the problem hasn’t really been solved 😕 So regarding to my switch, basically u say im just order wrong model? And its not like the working old model i already have? Can u point me to the wireless switch of aqara who has driver? And ty for the help ! 😁 ---

All I can suggest is to look at the first post of the Aqara app thread, there’s where all supported devices are posted (however, they need to be _exactly_ the same, so the same model/manufacturer ID, not just _look_ the same). ---

I wanted to say it look like it added “half of the driver” or something but i thought i be sound crazy…u have any idea on how to work this from this direction instead of buy another 3 switches? Off curse if i buy i will go through the post this time 🙂 ---

I didn’t see the subtle differences, Oren, I think you understand. And I should’ve inform with you what’s the difference between the two posts, sorry. So, when adding devices only _sometimes_ works, it can be at least one of these things: 1. The battery of the ‘new’ devices is 1 year old because of lying on the shelf. Always add a really brand new battery in case of issues 2. You didn’t keep it close enough to ●in case of zigbee: a nearby router device (almost any mains powered zigbee device) ●in case of z-wave: Homey 3. In case of battery powered devices, you didn’t keep it alive by pressing the pair button overy other second until the device got paired 4. Homey power adapter is flaky or dying ---

Hi peter ty. Mmm so: I try to replace batterry, same problem 😕 Also did it as close as i can to my homey And after 10 min off power homey. Still same… Also try to connect to different power supply…no change ☹ Is it possible my homey is dying? ---

YW! More options: restart Homey in recovery mode and choose “full software download” from the menu when presented; Here’s [a howto](https://community.homey.app/t/howto-pro-restarting-homey-pro-to-recovery-mode-adv-options-from-mobile/61222). This has solved the weirdest zigbee issues, but no guarantees here. Note: it only installs the firmware from scratch, it shouldn’t touch anything of your work. But, as always, do keep a recent backup at hand In case that doesn’t help, you can reset Homey zigbee as a last resort. This will remove all paired zigbee devices, and you’ll have add your zigbee devices and fix the flows involved. Fixing those flows can be a nightmare, luckily we can use this [very neat script](https://community.homey.app/t/how-to-pro-cloud-tool-to-fix-advanced-flows-after-removing-and-re-adding-devices/65018) bij Martijn Poppen. Unfortunately I can’t tell you if Homey is dying, BUT the original power brick is known to degrade over time, causing zigbee malfunctions for instance; make sure to replace it by a decent one from a well known brand, 5VDC - 2A minimum. I’d replace the USB cable as well. ---

First of all again ty for the help and tje specified answer. I order diffrent switch ( the ones i see for sure in the home app) i wait for them to arrived and if it still dosent work, il try all of this above Ty! ---

Just small update I just got the new switch (aqara wireless d) as in the app specified exactly and still didnt work. I get to the screen that says press the button for 10 sec I press the button The switch blink 3 time fast but the homey dosent find him 😕
