Some users report issues if your Homey is connected via WiFi instead of an ethernet cable. Check the details in the linked topic.

It would work with the Aqara app in the homey app store, right?

The Aqara app is for Zigbee devices. The P2 is a matter device. Those can be paired without an app directly to Homey.

Note that, I don’t have any experience with this device myself; the users in the forum topic I linked in my prior post do. So you might want to post further questions (if any) in that topic.
