# Apple Home accessory states not updating through either Matter Bridge or HomeKit Device Bridge — Homey Pro mini

Hi everyone,

I’m new to Homey andI’m looking for advice troubleshooting an issue with Apple Home and my Homey Pro mini.

**My setup**

- Homey Pro mini, connected by Ethernet.

- Apple TV configured as my Apple Home hub.

- Zigbee bulbs and LED strips integrated into Homey through the Lidl Smart Home integration.

- Official Homey Matter Bridge, paired with Apple Home.

- HomeKit Device Bridge, also tested separately.

**The problem**

Homey correctly reflects the actual states of my Lidl Smart Home and Tuya lights. However, Apple Home frequently shows incorrect, stale states. For example, lights that are physically off remain displayed as on in Apple Home.

The same problem occurred with both the official Matter Bridge and HomeKit Device Bridge. I have restarted Homey and the Apple TV, force-closed Apple Home, and even rebuilt my Apple Home configuration several times, without resolving the issue.

I have temporarily removed the official Tuya app from Homey while troubleshooting, so the current test is focused on my Zigbee lighting through Lidl Smart Home app on Homey.

**Questions**

1. Has anyone experienced stale accessory states in Apple Home with both bridging methods?

2. Could this be related to Matter event notifications, mDNS/multicast, the local network, or Apple Home’s accessory database?

3. Are there specific diagnostics or logs I can collect to identify where the state updates are getting lost?

4. Is there a recommended way to troubleshoot this without repeatedly rebuilding Apple Home?

I’d appreciate any advice. My intention is to use Apple Home as my everyday interface, with Homey managing the devices in the background.
