Yes but that still brings me back to my original question, how to set it’s default dim value instead of just turning it on to 100%, or having it initially turn on to 100% and THEN down to the desired dim value.

Is there a way to set the switch parameters via raw command using power user controls?

Say, set parameter 18 of that particular zen72 device to value 25% during a specific time of day so it uses that value when flipped on every time?

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/c/c/cc8d5a8e6195f39876ad6833d384a9a01dc96f97.png)

I know the node id of the device, and based on the documentation should I be able to update the custom brightness level?

By using two flows triggered by the wall switch. One flow switches the lamp off in two steps: dim to 1% and then switch off. The other flow dims the lamp to 25 %.

By the way, it is not your case that the smart lamp is hardwired to the switch? Because a smart lamp shall always be connected to the mains and controlled with flows.

Ok I setup this flow but the Turned off → Dim to1% → Turn off is not turning off the light. When I test it there are no failures though…

That is strange. Maybe execute the card “turn off” with a delay?
Or just test with a testflow the turn off. If even switching off does not work, it must be a bad product 😁

It works without the ending turn off hmmm well off to the rabbit hole

If it works, don’t wonder, it’s software😁

It’s great that on turn off dim to 1% works but I need it to turn off after that and it’s not turning off. Defeats the purpose of the flow.

Then after dimming you start another flow that contains only command “switch off”. If that does not work I am out of idea’s.

I will give this a try. I did reach out to the Zooz dev for a feature request to allow for more advanced settings control within Homey and I’m not the only one requesting it so hopefully in the future it will be less hacky. Thanks for the back and forth.

I have a Homey Pro 2023. Multiple Zooz Zen 72 800LR dimmers, that I use flow to control RGBW fixtures and strips via BTF Zigbee 3.0 5 in 1 LM052 controller. The switch will turn on and off, but I can not figure out how to program the switch to dim the controller. Has anybody tried this?

You probably are using [Zooz App for Homey | Homey](https://homey.app/en-us/app/com.getzooz/Zooz/), where I see for “dimmers” trigger dim level changed. This doesn’t work for you ? If so, try to contact developer via [GitHub · Where software is built](https://github.com/koktail-nl/com.getzooz.issues/issues)

Eh, as you are referring to be able to dim the light: “Dim to %” or “Set relative dim-level %”?

Those are absolute values. I am trying to achieve dimming up when the up toggle is pressed and dimming down when the down toggle is pressed, and have the dimming stop when the desired level is reached.

I just started with Homey Pro and Zooz switches. Got frustrated and switched to my Hubitat as I don’t have this problem.

I was putting my switches in Homey Pro and after adding or up to a hour later I would loose local control of the switches. Factory reset and added back and same thing again. Shut breaker off without any luck.

Anyone run into this before? Miss my Homey Pro, but can’t keep resetting my switches.

I just switched from Hubitat to Homey. Never had the issue on Hubitat but had on many of my Zen76 when added to Homey. I solved it by following the below (from Zooz advanced settings)

Hold the UPPER paddle for 10 seconds until the LED indicator starts blinking, then within 2 seconds, tap the upper paddle 5 times quickly to change this mode. The LED indicator will stay solid green for 3 seconds to confirm the change. (if it doesn’t work, try it again as each time you do it, it cycles to the next of 3 settings)

Hope this is permanent and helpful

First time using Zooz…I have ZSE42 800LR water leak sensor and question regarding what I am seeing on z-wave developer tools. IS this normal? Meaning it is showing device capabilities? Or is it not normal meaning it’s offline and battery dead?

I have a ZEN17 universal relay and it connects and make the 2 output relays available, but not the 2 inputs. Does anyone know how to expose those as well? Are the inputs supported?
thanks
