Hi! I think the Weather situation isn’t working in flows any more. I have a very simple flow that should turn on a light when a motion sensor triggers if the weather situation is Clear Sky. According to the app that’s the current weather situation but the flow doesn’t work. It works if I select Invert on the Weather situation if-statement, i.e. the app is probably reporting some different weather state to the flow.

Here’s some screenshots of the setup, let me know if there’s anything else I can provide to help debug it.

Some stupid rule would only allow me to add one image per post so here’s the other one

**SMHI Weather Forecast – v0.8.1 update**

A new version of the SMHI Weather Forecast app is now in Test release: [Väderprognos från SMHI | Homey](https://homey.app/sv-se/app/se.swefa/V%C3%A4derprognos-fr%C3%A5n-SMHI/test/).

The main focus of this update has been to stabilize the migration to SMHI’s new **SNOW1gv1** forecast API and clean up a number of issues that appeared after the old PMP3gv2 API was retired.

The update includes:

- Corrected wind direction handling.
- Improved precipitation type mapping.
- Correct handling of cloud cover values.
- Fixed forecast settings sometimes being applied one change late.
- Improved retry, timeout and timezone handling.
- Completed several Flow conditions that previously existed in the manifest but were not actually implemented.
- Added new Flow triggers:
  - **Weather changes to…**
  - **Weather changes from… to…**

- Improved the existing weather change trigger with previous/current weather information.
- Added a **Severe weather condition** trigger. This is based on forecast symbols and should not be confused with an official SMHI weather warning.
- Added automated regression tests and CI to make future changes safer.

One important compatibility note:
If you modified a Flow to compensate for incorrect wind headings or precipitation behaviour in v0.7.0, please review that Flow after updating. Existing Flow card IDs and capability IDs have been preserved, but the underlying values are now interpreted correctly.

I also took the opportunity to simplify the app internally. As of **v0.8.1 the app has zero third-party runtime dependencies**. `node-fetch` and the previous feels-like library have both been removed and replaced with built-in/local implementations. This reduces the dependency and supply-chain surface considerably.

The app is now using the current SMHI SNOW API throughout, and the major weather values and Flow behaviour have been tested on a real Homey Pro with multiple locations and forecast offsets.

As always, feedback and bug reports are welcome here or on GitHub.

Thanks to everyone still using the app. 🙂

// Johan

Just curious, is the official weather warnings available in the API,and could be made available as e.g warning updated card?

**SMHI Weather Forecast has received a major update 🌦🔥🌊**

What started as a fairly simple app for SMHI weather forecasts has grown quite a bit over the last few days.

The test version (0.11.0) now also includes:

- **Official SMHI weather warnings** — Yellow, Orange and Red warnings for your location
- **Fire risk** — forest fire risk, grass fire risk and forest fuel dryness, for today and the coming days
- **Sea level** — current RH2000 measurements from selected SMHI / Swedish Maritime Administration stations
- **Waves** — significant and maximum wave height, wave period and wave direction from SMHI wave buoys
- More **Flow cards** for reacting to warnings, fire risk, sea level and wave height

I have tried to keep the different data types clearly separated. A forecast is a forecast, an official warning is an official warning, and the ocean devices show actual station measurements.

There has also been quite a bit of work under the hood: improved error handling, more automated tests, cleaner architecture and **zero third-party runtime dependencies**.

The new version is now available as a **Test version** :

👉 [Väderprognos från SMHI | Homey](https://homey.app/sv-se/app/se.swefa/V%C3%A4derprognos-fr%C3%A5n-SMHI/test/)

I have tested it on my own Homey Pro, including live weather warnings, sea-level stations and wave buoys, but there are obviously many more locations and use cases than I can test myself.

So if you try it and find something odd, missing, or simply have an idea for improvement, please let me know in this thread or create an issue at [Issues · JohanBendz/se.swefa · GitHub](https://github.com/JohanBendz/se.swefa/issues).
