Sorry to hear that Lee. Would you be prepared to put the app into a public repo before you go so that we can pick it up and keep it going until the hopeful day when the official app starts to support more products? Appreciate the work you did on this. Jon ---

For anyone interested I contacted Dreo support as it’s now been two weeks since the apps release and my device is still not pairing. Dreo confirmed only the following products are supported in the Homey App. DR-HEC005S DR-HEC006S DR-HTF021AS DR-HTF024S DR-HPF015S DR-HPF017S DR-HAC005S DR-HAC006S DR-HAC008S They didn’t provide a timeframe for when support for more devices will be added. ---

That’s really frustrating. Looks like they only provided support for their newest models, and not for any existing models that most people would likely have already. Great way to disappoint your loyal customers who have multiple devices already ☹ Even my most recent purchase of a DR-HPF008S didn’t make that list. Fortunately the rest of my Dreo devices work with the community app, so I only have one device that doesn’t work with either. ---

It is kind of a mick take when a community written app by one bloke at home in the space of a week or two offers more comparability/functionality than the official app written by the manufacturer, and that we waited months for. I don’t know for sure but I’d guess the community app was built on top of the [reverse-engineered community API](https://github.com/JeffSteinbok/hass-dreo)implemented for the Home Assistant Dreo unofficial integration whereas the official Dreo app is clearly implemented on top of their [official API](https://github.com/dreo-team/hass-dreoverse). So to extend their app, Dreo would have to extend their the scope of their official API and that would extend their support costs. So I guess they want that to pay for itself in new device sales. Personally I think that’s a naive strategy that won’t work but that’s by the by. It would have been great if the author of the community homey app had opened the source before they left the community but actually if someone has a spare day and a Claude account it’s probably not a huge lift to build a new Homey community app wrapped around the existing unofficial API linked above. Especially now Homey supports python (which that is). If nobody beats me to it, I might well do this myself if the existing community app ever stops working or I want to extend it. But I don’t have the spare time right now. If someone does have a go at this, please please put it in an open repo! ---

Annoying that they are just supporting their new products, bought a fan and humidifier back end of last year to add to the heater I already had after comments that they were bringing out an official app thinking I could use them in some automations. Goes to show, never buy on the promise that something is coming down the line, maybe the Homey guys can encourage them to add their other products or change their YouTube short announcing that Dreo now works with Homey to works with Homey if you have their latest products ---

After logging in with my Dreo account while trying to add a new device in Homey, I can’t find any device which can be added. I am trying to add a tower fan. Is there a way to select the region before logging in? The Dreo login screen does not have such option. My region is RO. ---

not all products are supported. At least not at this time. I have an air conditioner that is supported. But, my tower fan, ceiling fans, and space heater are not. ---

I have logged this with Dreo several times since the official app was released about a month ago, but so far no positive response, and there have been zero updates to the app since the initial release. Not very promising at all. ---

I just want to thank Geordie Lee for updating his app with several more flow cards. I had thought this project abandoned, but I am grateful that you’re still here and improving this app. It’s certainly a much better app than the Official Dreo app. ---

+1 for support for the app. I’ve given it ago. My fan is recognised by the unofficial app and classified as DR-HPF008S. Most of the app’s features work OK and it feels churlish to say that the main feature: switching it on and off doesn’t. My guess is there are two on/off capabilities: one for the fan and one for the LED at the back and neither matches the ‘onoff’ capability used by the app. Andy ---

I have one TurboPoly fan 508S, and four 513S fans. The 513S work just fine, but because the 508S has both fan and LED mood light, it uses different signals with the IR remote (and presumably with the API for the app) to turn on/off the fan and the LED separately. I did mention this to Lee before he migrated away from Homey. It’s unfortunate that the community app is no longer supported. Even more so that the official app doesn’t support a majority of their products. ---

ive got an issue where my 508s has stopped reporting its power state to homey and i cant turn it on an off. I can set modes and speeds so the app is communicating. Reboots of the app, homey and fan make no odds. Has anyone seen this happen? It was working before and I built all my automations around it so I dont want to re-add it if I can avoid it. ---

I am wholeheartedly disappointed with the Official Dreo app for Homey. Version one was released over two months ago, and there have been zero updates to the app, and it still does not support any of the multiple Dreo smart devices I have around my home (7 currently… I was considering getting more, but having checked the small list of compatible models, none of the ones I was thinking of getting are on that list either 😞 ) What is going on with this? And why are so few products supported still? ---

Unfortunately no, they are currently working on some improvements like adding missing Flow cards. Support for additional devices is on their roadmap. I would recommend getting in touch with them and letting them know your requests as well.
