It would also help the ReoLink app developers a heck of a lot if you could include the whole flow, and a lot more details than just it doesn’t work. What other diagnostic attempts have you tried? What model camera is it, and is it connected directly to Homey or through a Home Hub or NVR? (and if so what model Home Hub or NVR). What hardware are you running Homey on? (Pro 2023, Pro 2026, Pro Mini, Self-Hosted Server?) Have you tried creating a new flow with the most basic Start → the Privacy mode on, to see if a basic two step flow works? And anything else you can think to try/include.

Still no improvement to display a Floodlight Duo 2 in this app

Main and Sub outputs display an error or a black screen when displayed as a widget

What can be done to fix this?

Is that a camera that uses H.265 video codec for both main and sub streams?

That could just be an issue with configuration/set-up. Have you played around with different connection strategies (through an NVR/Home Hub vs direct Homey Pro to camera connect etc) and tried tweaking the settings to see if you can get it working.

I have an RLC-823S2 camera, that unlike my other TrackMix cameras, it doesn’t have a H.264 sub stream… the main and sub are both H.265. In theory it shouldn’t work at all through Homey. But I have managed to get the sub stream to work. It requires me to click on the play icon every time I open the Dashboard, as it initially baulks at the incompatible H.265 codec, but it does stream live video.

Isn’t part of the fun of the home automation hobby experimenting… I even tried to write a few lines of javascript/Homeyscript (I’m probably never gonna try that again… but I tried. Think I’ll stick to shell script and Python ha ha 🤣 )

It’s connected through the Home Hub Pro and must be or I won’t get recordings.

I don’t have an NVR

Both my other cameras work fine and are connected through the Home Hub Pro

Ahh, I have an NVR instead of the Home Hub. And my cameras are connected to the NVR via a PoE network switch (rather than using the PoE ports on the back of the NVR). That way I can connect them to the NVR for recordings over the NVR’s LAN port, and also connect the cameras directly to Homey Pro. That way of setting them up allows me the greatest control and flexibility. It works for all my PoE cameras, and video doorbell.

(The only camera I have connected through the NVR to my Homey Pro is my solar powered Argus 3 Ultra, as that’s the only way to connect battery cameras to Homey.)

Any suggestions?

a few things to consider:

Is it connected via NVR or reolink hub?
Does it work in the Reolink app ok?
Is it connected to the same network/subnet as Homey?
Does it have a static IP? - it should
Do you have other Reolink cameras working?
Do you have the HTTP, HTTPS, RTSP, ONVIF ports and options enabled in the settings?

Dear Paul,

Thx for responding. Pls find my responses to your questions below.

Is it connected via NVR or reolink hub? No, only the reolink app and surveillance station app on my Synology nas
Does it work in the Reolink app ok? Yes, very well
Is it connected to the same network/subnet as Homey? Yes, it is
Does it have a static IP? - it should. Via DHCP, both camera’s get assigned the same IP address every time they connect to the network
Do you have other Reolink cameras working? Yes, a PoE doorbell and a CX820
Do you have the HTTP, HTTPS, RTSP, ONVIF ports and options enabled in the settings? Yes, I have

I’ve added the CX820 just this afternoon and I gave the same response in homey as the doorbell.

Looking forward to your response!

Kindest regards, Peter

Apologies for the delay, Ive been away 🙂

Have you had any further progress on it?

Since you answered yes to all of those questions, I dont know what else could be causing it. Perhaps best to log an issue with the dev of the reolink app as previously suggested
It does sound like a network issue though

My reolink doorbell (and other cameras) is connected via NVR and works without issue
I also have one other connected via WiFi which works

My apologies 🙂

Let’s say we take this one:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/9/7949eda6f3003512a4fb076472b07efe9c6d07de.png)

At 12:00, nothing happens, the privacy mode stays off:

- the camera doesn’t physically turn away;
- the privacy mode in the Reolink app remains “off”;
- the privacy status in Homey, however, _does_ change from Off to On:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/6/7/67427f8163a3a5c7c6457d09f78b19cffa30e6f8.png)

Only when I manually select “Aan” in this Homey setting, the privacy mode in the Reolink app will be changed to “on” and the camera will physically turn away.

So there is some sort of communication between Homey and Reolink. Homey is able to change the setting, but only by manually selecting on/off, not via a flow.

I’m using a Reolink E1 Pro. This is the correct diagnostic report: dc83667b-0e20-4051-a6e3-50f8860562ea

Hope this information helps.

I have the same issue with my new D340P Front doorbell camera.

What does same network mean (as I’m using a /23 subnet, but Homey and the cam are included in this subnet)?

I just added the Reoling track Mix successfully to homey, but: I can´t find an action flow card allowing for turning the camera on and off.

Am I missing something?

TrackMix cameras don’t currently support a privacy mode. This is a Reolink limitation, and nothing to do with Homey, or the Homey Reolink app.

You could try setting up a PTZ preset in the Reolink mobile app that points the camera at the wall or floor, then using the “Then” action card:

 ![IMG_7184](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/8/a/8a613614c1b5c98fb5ae380c9e090539de7dce9c.jpeg)

You could pan the camera to that preset. And set up another preset for a default pan and tilt angle to reposition it back to a default monitoring position when you desired.

I just released v1.4.7 to production : [Reolink | Homey](https://homey.app/en-nl/app/com.reolink/Reolink)

Fixes

- Privacy mode flow cards now work correctly; devices that do not support privacy mode are guarded so the flow cards no longer cause errors on them
- API response keys are normalized to lowercase, resolving issues caused by inconsistent casing in Reolink responses (including the PIR request casing)
- Added a type alias for the E Series E550P so this camera is recognized correctly

Hi everyone,

I’m having an annoying issue with the Reolink app in Homey.

After a while, my Reolink cameras stop sending person, vehicle, and animal detection events to Homey. The live stream continues to work perfectly, so the connection itself doesn’t seem to be the problem.

If I reboot the NVR and restart the Reolink app in Homey, everything starts working again, but only temporarily. After some time, the detection events stop coming through again.

- Reolink NVR with static IP addresses.
- Live view always works.
- Only the detection events stop being sent to Homey.
- Restarting both the NVR and the Reolink app in Homey temporarily fixes the issue.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or does anyone know a solution?

I’m trying to set up my new wifi doorben v2 and it appears that the current version of the reolink app doesn’t have access to enable https/rtsp/onvif? At least i dont see an ‘advanced network settings’ button, only network settings, which shows IP address etc.
