Hi Christoph, yes, it’s about a battery-powered camera. I don’t want it to be on all the time, but rather to wake up when another camera, which is constantly powered, detects something. I also tested the “walking left” method. But I get the impression it then pans by varying amounts and perhaps even moves out of the field of view.

I also tested the “taking a picture” method, but I thought it wouldn’t wake up. I’ll try that again, though. Thanks.

You can use the following as an “If” card: If camera 1 detects movement/person, then camera 2 takes a screenshot or does something that wakes up camera 2.

Hello, I would be very happy if these options were also available as triggers soon. And it would be great if one could start continuous recording via a flow.

Is it possible to add the Reolink Chime as a device, along with its associated entities, such as volume, on/off status, chime type, and other available settings?
Thx.

I have trouble adding some cameras. I am using the reolink home hub for recording. I can add the video doorbell and the hub. But my two w320x and the e330 will not. There’s no option to change any network settings on them.

Hi @Koktail

Thanks for the update and for adding the Hub’s Scene mode!

I’ve been testing it out, but I noticed that my custom scenes are not showing up. Would it be possible to implement support for custom scenes in a future update?

Keep up the great work! 🔥

Thanks. Homey does not support dynamic values in the enum list unfortunately. The custom scènes can be selected in the flowcards.

You should be able to add it with `this.setCapabilityOptions()`, another developer confirmed that was working. I haven’t needed a dynamic enum in my own apps, so I haven’t tried it but it should work for enums as well

Perfect, I can see and use the custom scenes in Flow Cards, so that’s working fine. I’m currently doing some testing and I’ve noticed that the conditional card **“And Scene is Away”** is returning an error.

It fails immediately with the following message:

_“Baichuan response timeout for cmd 601”_

Thanks!

**Help!**

My Reolink cameras normally work perfectly with Homey. However, since yesterday something has gone wrong.

When my front door camera detects motion or a person, Homey reports that the event came from a **different camera** instead of the front door camera.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it?

@Koktail

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Reolink Homey app.

### Setup

- Homey Pro 2026 (latest firmware)
- Reolink app (latest version)
- Reolink NVR (latest firmware)
- All cameras are connected through the NVR.
- Reolink mobile app works perfectly.

### Problem

All cameras have suddenly stopped showing live video in Homey.

At the same time:

- Live stream does not work.
- Snapshots do not work (also fails in Flows).
- Device control still works (status updates, settings, etc.), so Homey is clearly still communicating with the devices.

### Additional observations

- I removed and added the cameras again. The issue remains.
- The cameras work perfectly in the Reolink app.
- This has happened before. Without changing anything, everything suddenly started working again after some time.
- I have now added my Reolink Doorbell (also through the same NVR), and **its live stream works correctly** in Homey.

Because of that, it doesn’t appear to be a general NVR communication issue.

Have any one seen this before? Is there any known issue affecting snapshots/live streams for certain camera models behind an NVR?

If needed, I can provide a diagnostics report and logs.

Thank you.

Hi i thought i’d give this app a go as i have a reolink doorbell “Reolink Video Doorbell PoE - Smart 2K+ Wired PoE Video Doorbell with Chime - Item No. D340P”, and whilst it is working quite happily with the ONVIF app, i wouldn’t mind capturing doorbell press and some other native functions with this dedicate app, but the ‘add device’ function simply won’t find my reolink doorbell; i’ve sent the diagnostic code for you to take a look, if you like.

b882a7f5-3d7f-4e80-8ee4-eb238c6d596b

Cheers, Gray.

PS: A note with the add device process is that it appears to force you to enter the app password, but this is actually an optional field in the app, you don’t need to have a password set. I had to set this to be able to use the device add process, but really this shouldn’t be required; is it possible to remove it, as i don’t want to enter the password when using the app really…

Hi!

Im a fairly new user of Reolink and this app.
Ive set everything up as I want and the Reolink mobile app works just fine and as expected.
I can add all devices (Homehub + 2x Argus 3E wifi cameras) to Homey, set the scenes, see the live streams and trigger floodlight, snapshots etc.
But I cant get any triggers to work, as in “person detected” or “motion detected” on any of the cameras.

Ive tried updating, re-adding all the devices, restarting the Reolink app in Homey. I’ve tried different scenes. I get all the notifications in the Reolink Mobile App almost instantly, but Homey is dead silent.

For example:
[When motion detected in backyard] → [Send push notification to user]
Nothing happens.

Homey Pro 2026 (13.3.0)
Reolink app version v1.4.4

Anyone with similar issue?

Small update: It appears no sensor updates are working, including battery level. When I restart the Reolink app in Homey it updates battery level.

However, when I manually set the privacy mode to On in Homey, it does work:

That’s a Homey diagnostic report, only Athom employees can view those. For issues with a Homey app, you need an App diagnostic report, you can create one in More-\>Apps-\>Reolink-\>Settings (top right corner)-\>Create diagnostic report.
