So I assume you created a diag. log from the app ? If so, I did not receive anything.

Please contact support again, provide system diag after installing the app - as I mentioned, **no developer can influence anyhow the way Homey app store installs the app** - I can specify the compatibility prior to the installation, but you do have compatible firmware version. THEN - when the app is initialized, then developer is responsible from that part on. But NOTHING in between, from when you press INSTALL until the app runs, can be influence by the developer.

Also, recently there were multiple issues with apps being or not being installed during different occasion, I believe you might be one of them.

btw seems others users do have same issue on other app

Hi Sharkys,

After we spoke on Friday, I contacted Homey support. They responded the same day, and we had a short dialogue.

They asked for the Diagnostic Report ID you referred to, and they also requested a video showing what happens when I try to install the app and the error message that appears. In addition, they asked some standard questions, like whether I’m able to install other apps (which I can, without any problems), and they suggested I try installing the Xiaomi app both from the web and directly from the Homey app (which of course didn’t work).

The last question they asked was:
“Is the app already installed now but not working? If so, could you please try to update the app. Does that solve the issue?”

I replied:
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, the app is installed (version 3.3.0), and it’s working with the devices already linked to it. However, it won’t update, and if I delete the app, I’m unable to reinstall it—I only get a timeout error.
I need to get the app updated because I have some new devices I want to integrate with Homey, but they’re only supported in the latest app version.

After that, I haven’t heard anything more.

Over the weekend, I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it both from the web and directly via Homey.
Web error: timeout
Homey error: Network request failed
I also tried disabling the firewall on both my PC and router, and even connected Homey directly to the modem to rule out any network-related issues on my side.

I then attempted to install the app manually using the JSON and source code. I’m not very familiar with JSON, so after a few hours of trial and error, I managed to get the app installed—but it crashed immediately and didn’t work at all.

In the end, I had to reset my Homey and restore from backup. So now I’m back to app version 3.3.0.

Hmm, very long story but at least they have reached to you asking for details.

As for CLI install, I can’t really recommend it for this integration, as it’s using obsolete libraries which were abandoned and require some additional modification during installation, unfortunately. So it’s not straight forward ☹ I hope that Athom developers will figure out soon, however it seems it’s concerning only about 2% of user base…

Yeah, it turned into quite a story—even though I tried to keep it as short as possible😅

I definitely noticed the CLI method wasn’t very straightforward… took me quite a bit of frustration just to get it running, and even then it crashed right away😅

Let’s hope Athom figures it out soon. Even if it’s just 2% affected, it’s still frustrating when you’re one of them.

By the way, would it be possible for you to add support for the Xiaomi Smart Pet Fountain 2?

Probably the simplest method so far - [GitHub - PiotrMachowski/Xiaomi-cloud-tokens-extractor: This tool/script retrieves tokens for all devices connected to Xiaomi cloud and encryption keys for BLE devices.](https://github.com/PiotrMachowski/Xiaomi-cloud-tokens-extractor)

Hello again,

Here is a quick update.

Yesterday, I encountered a new issue after installing the Shelly app—a “network request failed” error appeared in the Homey web app.

I believe I have finally identified the root cause.

I was using an Ethernet adapter with Homey. After reviewing several forum threads, I found multiple reports of issues potentially related to both the Ethernet adapter and the original power adapter.

Here’s what I did:

1. I disconnected the Ethernet adapter from Homey, unplugged the original power adapter from the Ethernet adapter (as power flows through it), and then connected Homey directly to the same power adapter.

2. I connected Homey to Wi-Fi—and immediately, the Xiaomi app downloaded successfully, and the Shelly app began working again.

I’ve reported this issue to Homey support, as the product is still under warranty.

Is it possible to connect it to Homey? Which is the easiest way to get the token?

Method 3 seems not to be working…

Not sure what do you mean but currently most reliable I see using [Xiaomi Cloud Tokens Extractor](https://github.com/PiotrMachowski/Xiaomi-cloud-tokens-extractor)

Also, in case someone is looking for support of another fan…

Thanks

Used Github and got my token. From there i was Abel to add my fan in Homey.

The problem is now that the fan, in homey, goes offline and online periodically within approximately 5 minutes.

I used the same token for different fans that I could choose from in homey app, all are the same with toggling online/offline.

Any idea how to solve this?

You should use only the one which is supported for your device as per [Supported Devices · shaarkys/com.xiaomi-miio Wiki · GitHub](https://github.com/shaarkys/com.xiaomi-miio/wiki/Supported-Devices), eg. for **Xiaomi Smart Standing Fan 2** use **Advanced Mi Smart Standing Fan MIoT driver** - if you are 100% you have right token, submit diag. debug from the app on Homey.

I’ve added the vacuum but only see vacuuming and no mopping option.

You shall use Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner MIoT driver, but I’m wondering if **Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner MIoT MAX (WiFi)** would not work for you better (in TEST version - because I’m just finalizing driver for X20). Try it and submit log.

Try latest [Xiaomi Mi Home | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.xiaomi-miio/test/)
