check out the new test version. Dont forget to reauthenticate (which is now a proper login process) Also the button controls now finally work like they are supposed to, so you can trully control your xbox like it is a controller for the menu and apps etc. (games might still need some attention). Still working on the power down button though. But I am happy with the state it is in already ---

Verion 1.0 is now live with all the original features working properly and smooth. Authentication is now elegant through proper login flow. Buttons work emediatly and quick with fast responses on the console Album art works showing the game played. Authentication is only required for the game art. Version 1.1 is now in test channel. It uses a cloud route for shutdown and allows for launching games on the console with proper select list of installed apps and games. Both require being authenticated. ---

Version 1.1 now live. Version 1.2 now in test channel, featuring Live events (app level). When live events (opt in in app settings) is enabled you get your gamerscore as cap en trigger events live, friends came online or achievement unlocked. Have fun, I think this is what it should have been all this time. So let me know if you are missing features. ---

Just removed and added my XBOX. Unfortunately I cannot switch it off. Not using the button nor using a flow. Am I doing something wrong? ---

Honey app, settings, apps, Xbox app, settings.. If you have the 1.+ version there should be an authorize button that brings you to a login page of Microsoft ---

Try the new version, my auth token expired a bit to fast, I changed that now. Make sure to authenticate again to get the newer longer lasting tokens. You should see the green state and some events popping up in the log below that. ANd finally, authorized events (like power down) only work with the LIVE account the XBox is signed in with I believe. So if you sign in with your live account to the app, and your son with his own to the Xbox that might be why it ignores you. Security is by design 😉 ---

I re-authenticated and will test later today. When I did test before I made sure I was logged in. Other than that, that may be an issue: my son is logged in to the XBox and my account is used to authenticate. I will also try and see if he can always login for me when using the Xbox. Because you can have multiple people logged in at the same time. ---

Tested it and unfortunately the XBox still doesn’t power down. Even when I am logged in with my account. (That I used to authenticate) ---

I tested it once more and what I think I forgot (to mention) previously: the app works for the biggest part: - I can see if the XBox is on or off - I do recall that I could see at some point what was “playing” - I do see “Gamerscore” (whatever that may be 🙂 ) - I can control the XBox from the app. So, the “Nexus” button, and navigating does work There is only one thing that does not work: powering off. If I press the power off, it looks like it is powering off and after a while it flips back to on. And on the XBox itself nothing happens. ---

Weird, then the XBox is rejecting the cloud command to power off, and since your other cloud interaction clearly works, it must be related to the active user being your son versus the user giving the remote command or something. ---

It is really weird indeed! So for reference: I was sitting at my son’s desk controlling the XBox One through the app. Everything worked. Then I pushed the button to shutdown. And at first in the app it looks like it shuts down, but on the XBox nothing happens. And then after a while in the app it also shows to be on as well.
