This is where you import/use template, not were you post it. And to see templates, you fiest need to push the refresh button 😉

That’s what I tried, but something went wrong somewhere, cos my Honey hung, I had to power cycle it in the end…

That screenshot was after pushing the Refresh button, the page stayed like that

Yeah, it took a lott of resources. But about 1-2 weeks ago i made a huge performance improvement and resources reduction.
Refresh now only takes a few seconds.

Yeah, my HP26 is living in the 6-10% free memory range, and 30-60% CPU load average… so that would explain why it went in to meltdown and needed a reboot 🤣

I really need to sort the memory upgrade out and get it done… but first I need to fix my NAS… It never rains but it pours 🤣

Not sure, but other apps seems to be able to push subsequent test versions without the certification process (even multiple versions per day) 🤔.

That’s true, but that goes for changes in code only. Any change touching app.json will trigger a certification step.
So, flowcard descriptions, app descriptions, device descriptions, images etc.

(Yes, 😳)

If 0.7.0 were live I could at least push a newer version for test. But I’m afraid that if I recall my certification request to instead have 0.8.0 certified I would fall to the back of the line again.

## Widgetkeeper 0.7.0 is live and 0.8.0 is ready for testing

Version 0.8.0 has a bunch of improvements and a few new widgets:

- ▶ **[Flow Buttons](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#flow-buttons)**: start flows with one tap, each a round button in the colour and icon you pick
- 🔀 **[Flow Variables](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#flow-variables)**: switch flow variables on and off, or change a number or text, with the full name visible
- ⏱ **[Timers](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#timers)**: kitchen timers from one-tap presets, with a Flow card when one runs out
- 💰 **[Price Badge](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#price-badge)**: the electricity price now, the next hour’s and the cheapest hour ahead in one tile
- 🔒 **[Locks and Doors](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#locks-and-doors)**: one line that says whether everything is locked and closed
- 🔵 **[Sensor Dots](https://github.com/thomassidor/widgetkeeper#sensor-dots)**: many motion and contact sensors at a glance, as dots that light up when active

 ![Flow Buttons](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/3/5/3525fc1aa1635187c886cbe8de73b3e210599db3.png) ![Flow Variables](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/1/1/11ee02d0aea8f5e87f329f3349c8fa5749243c4d.png) ![Timers](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/b/5/b5096fd7d3a96031ad83ca61b345f050f50383b4.png) ![Price Badge](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/2/9/29c0abac3a9836e5b53e77e23787431d62fbd329.png) ![Locks and Doors](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/7/8/78fe8be28a9dfdbe2710b614e0b0aea032cb290d.png) ![Sensor Dots](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/8/3/835d26fc6e9fd6f309f82c95c1e0caa7d5f47499.png)

**Also new:**

- **Electricity Overview:** supports a fixed price from Homey Energy, shows solar export below zero in yellow, and can hide the prices.
- **Device Values:** a Flow can colour a tile, such as red when the fridge is too warm.
- **Light Controls:** plugs and wall switches set up as lights can be picked too, and the brightness bar can stop at 1 % instead of turning the light off.
- **Insights Heatmap:** pick the colour.
- **Thermostat Shortcuts:** a preset now always sets its temperature, also on aircons that keep one per mode.
- Clearer setting names and help texts, and a brief connection problem no longer hides a widget.

🔑 Flow Buttons and Flow Variables need a **Homey API key**. Make one in the Homey web app ( **Settings → API Keys** ) and paste it under **Apps → Widgetkeeper → Configure**.

👉 **Install the test version:** [Widgetkeeper | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.thomassidor.widgetkeeper/test/)

Feedback is very welcome!

All these new features sound amazeballs… I shall have a great deal of fun over the weekend trying out and testing a bunch of these 😁

Thank you good sir 🫡

EDIT: a suggestion for a future version, the locks & doors, is it possible to make the “Locked” text highlighted in green when locked, and switch to highlighting the “Unlocked” text red when unlocked.

When you start adding multiple doors/windows it would make it a lot easier to spot at a glance which is the offending orifice.

This is looking great! I like that it fits the Homey widget style, so it provides a uniform look and feel. Thanks for adding the Flow Variable and Flow Buttons widgets 😀.

A suggestion for both these widgets: would be nice if you could provide a custom name for each flow / variable (that overrides the actual name of the flow/variable). In my case, the name of those flow/variable names can be quite long. But on the dashboard a shorter name is more practical and looks nicer.

Same for the Device Values widget. As an example, I have a device with multiple timers that I want to track. The widget currently shows the device name (Timers in this case). But there is no option to provide a custom name for each timer/sensor, which makes it hard to distinguish between the different tiles:

Do the capabilities/timers-sensor not have different names?

They do, but the widget shows the device name (not the capability/sensor name). It regards one virtual device (AVD) with 18 timers (sensors).

Also for the purpose of the dashboard I would like to use a shortened/custom name for the sensor names (if possible).

Again, i really love these widgets! My dashboard is becoming very neat because of them.
Only think i currently am missing myself is the curtains.
Right now i have a custom build widget for it (with the Enhancest Widget app) build around a AVD which contains all my curtains (my Living room AVD which contains almost all devices in my living room).

I would love a Widget for curtains, preferably where i can select 4 (thus multiple, some rooms have 2) curtains with sliders, but also, just pushing the/a button which would mean toggle the curtain (this used to be the default for curtains, but at some point Athom removed the toggle for curtains and only kept a slider, thats why i build an AVD around them).

And i love your widgets so much, im just gonna ask for another (asking is allowed right 🤭)

A **good** media widget?

The default Homey widget for media (the large one), well, i think sucks (sorry Athom)
I already am in the process of switching my Sonos app to the Sonos (localAPI) app, because it has way more features and is much much faster and doesn’t kill my network (sonos app really hurts my network)
About he widget:

- The album item is not updated correctly much of the time (could be a sonos bug).
- It doesnt show (or make me able to change) the input/source (okay, just retested and with the Sonos Local API app it **does** show the input/source!) But when TV, the widget turns grey..
- It has **no mute button** , which is kind of important if TV is the source, you cannot push pause/play.
- When using the Sonos Local API app, there are many options, most important the source, which i cannot set through the Widget. So i know have to add another button/device just to change the source or mute.
- Pushing volume up/down as a huge lag, so the kids sometimes push it way to much and my ears will blow up 😂

And something that might be a bug?
I have two Hue Blooms.

In the Homey app:

- When they are off, if i change the color, it shows a change in the app (also your widget, so nothing weird there). But the lights dont go on and if i switch them on, it will be on the previous light.
(Not saying this is wrong, just saying how it works by default. Personally i think they should switch on automaticly when you change the color when they are off).

In your Widget:

- When they are off, if i change the color, the light turns on: But not in the color i have set, but the previous color. (Perhaps you need to await the TurnOn and then set the Color?).

Not sure if it should be consistend with the default way Homey does it, but personally, i would love it if the light (indeed) turns on when you select a color, so how the widget does it is perfect in my opinio. Its just that the color doesnt change, so i think this could be considerd a bug?

I miss that I can only display a string in one column as it is designed to show two variables per row. I would like to display it across 2.
