ill give it a go anyway. for some reason im not even using the latest version of this app. currently have 1.30.0 installed. i have auto updates on also. tried installing and restarting the app. will look into it again in a few hours once i finish work and try out the test version. ---

tried the test version. my flow didnt work. it relies on a number being one of the senders in the group chat which then triggers an automation from my flow. i suspect its coming through with a different number listed in my flow. ---

is changing the format of the senders number the workaround? or is there a way for me to check what the senders number is? ---

@loy80y best is to wait until it’s fixed If you make changes to your flow now you have to do that again later on ---

Would that be a fix you are planning to release or something that needs to be fixed on WhatsApp’s side? Happy to leave it as these flows that are triggered from WhatsApp messages received aren’t being used as much as I hoped. The rest of this app in terms of sending messages works fine so far. ---

@loy80y this app uses a reversed engineerd SDK. So when that is updated I can update this Homey app. It is caused due to a change on the Whatsapp side. > This app is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with WhatsApp ---

didn’t work for me. just did a quick test now. added a timeline card to show the senders phone number and the text. appears that the phone number is still wrong. showing up as an entirely different number. ---

059b2c6f-1eae-42ce-b0ea-e168b00f643f Please don’t post my whole number here. I did run another test. Seems like it’s group messages received that it shows up as a different number. Created a test flow just sent directly to the WhatsApp number linked to Homey and my flow works fine. Confirmed using a timeline notification and the senders number is my number. Will run some more tests when I can as I’m currently at work. ---

just incase you wanted to validate/confirm that i had my phone number correct in the flow. i suspect there would be some sort of information regarding the senders number in the diagnostics i didnt want it posted here thats all. could be the simplest mistake of the number being wrong in my flows but i double checked that just now 😃 ---

Since I used the new “phone numbers”—which are incorrect but still correspond to the individual numbers (each one sends messages using a new persistent number)—all phone number–dependent flows are now functioning. I also copied my old flow to have it ready for reactivation in case the old setup ever starts working again. ---

@Michael_Fritzsche sorry didn’t get that So are you saying it’s working or not? Edit: i think you mean it still works with the encrypted numbers and my fix didn’t resolve that. Made a new fix see below ---

It’s working now. I’m using the new (incorrect) phone numbers for all family members—I added them once and replaced the real numbers with these in my temporary flow. Most of my contacts still don’t have their actual numbers submitted, but I did notice one correct number appear. Still, the numbers I need are all wrong. However, everything works as long as I use these new numbers. new fix?
