Hello,
Since September 1st, my Viessmann app has stopped working. When configuring it, the following error message appears:

 ![Screenshot 2025-09-02 132016](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/1/9/195795af099fc43a0a01c9345c727e4f772b2dad.png)

Does anything need to be changed?

Hi all,

Quick status from me (Pelle, maintainer of the Viessmann ViCare app for Homey Pro).

**Status:** I haven’t had time for this project since December 2024 as I’ve had to focus on other priorities. Thanks for your patience. Thanks for your patience.

**Polling:** The app polls every **2 minutes** to stay within the free API limits.

**Thanks:** Big thanks to @Sam_Coussens for flagging the upcoming Viessmann API/IAM domain change. I’ll submit an updated version **before the old domain stops working**. 🙏

**If you can’t log in / “invalid redirect URI” error:**

Please double-check your Viessmann developer client setup and Homey app settings:

1. Go to **[app.developer.viessmann.com](http://app.developer.viessmann.com)** → **Your clients**

2. Ensure you have a client (e.g. **Name:** Homey)

3. **reCAPTCHA:** Disabled

4. **Redirect URI:** [https://callback.athom.com/oauth2/callback](https://callback.athom.com/oauth2/callback)

5. In **Homey** → **App Settings** for the Viessmann app: paste the **Viessmann Client ID** and **save**.

After saving, try adding the device again in Homey.

**Feature requests / help wanted:** Lots of great ideas have come in. If you have time and knowledge to help build new features, please contact me — I’m happy to help you get started. The source code is on GitHub.

You can DM me here or email **pelle@forint.se**.

Thanks again for your support, and sorry for the recent silence.

/Pelle

Hi Pelle,
Thank you for your information. I had to create a new client in the Developer Portal and reconfigured the app. I was then able to add my heating system as a new device. Everything’s working again now.

I hope someone can help with further development. It would be great if the individual Viessmann components of the heating system (radiator thermostats, climate sensors) could be integrated into Homey as separate devices.

It would be ideal if you could control the temperature of a radiator thermostat on a Homey dashboard. Maybe that will work someday?

Thank you for your support!

Hey @Pelle_Rosengren

Veissmann has now changed their endpoints, so the application has stopped working. At least for me.

Best regards

Gustaf

Hi, I’m absolutely thrilled with this app 😃

Thank you 😊

However, I’m missing a program for my Vitodens 200-W in the operating mode selection.

On the other hand, the “Forced Reduced” command is missing in operating mode.

Hello, is there an overview of the settings available in “Operation mode”? I see “dhwAndHeating” there. What are the others called?

I followed the steps. I get the callback, but on the “New Devices Found” page i am getting only “Unknown error”. The device is a Vitodens gas boiler, added in ViCare.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Has anybody solved the problem with circuit 2. I can only see and control circiut 1. Any idea why only circuit 1 is shown in the app?

Contolling my Viessman with Homey does not work anymore. I suspect that the API access is the reason due to the change of the homepage from [viessmann.com](http://viessmann.com/) to [viessmann-climatesolutions.com](http://viessmann-climatesolutions.com/). How can the access be adjusted or is someone taking care of it. Thank you very much in Advance.

PS: Changes to the operating mode directly in the Original Viessmann app are correctly read in Homey

@Bernhard_Oberfrank @Pelle_Rosengren

There is a general problem. Viessmann revoked write access to the API without communication, see the post I made in ‘the other’ Viessmann app for Homey: [[App][Pro] Viessmann App for Homey Pro - #315 by KennyMoens](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-viessmann-app-for-homey-pro/116744/315)
