I’ve since discovered that the version of the Unifi software that I use requires either MFA or 2FA. There are three types, but, at least one must be active. This app seems to require 2FA to be turned off. I’d love to be wrong, but unless there is an alternate method of authenticating via this app to Unifi, I think I’m out of luck.

Below is a screenshot of the user I created on the Unifi Settings page for users. Note that it is active. After trying it in the Homey app, and testing for whether the credentials were valid, they were not.

I want to do some more with specific Access Points, so I finally linked my first devices. Shame on me that it took me a year after installation of the app…

I’m using a UDR, with WiFi onboard. But the UDR doesn’t show up as an Access Point within the devices, it shows a dash (-). When I go upstairs or to the garden then the dash changes to the top floor AP or garden AP.

Is there a reason the UDR doesn’t show up as an AP in the devices? That should mean that I can’t act on the most used AP in our house…

Or is it possible for you @ObelixNL to add it?

tIA!

when I grab the URL from my browser, it looks like this:

[https://unifi.ui.com/consoles/1C0B8BE8ADFD1000000009B22A44000000000A29F78C00000000691DB257:1840733517/network/default/dashboard](https://unifi.ui.com/consoles/1C0B8BE8ADFD1000000009B22A44000000000A29F78C00000000691DB257:1840733517/network/default/dashboard)

That should open my console for anyone most likely, so I changed a couple of the numbers in that long hex code. Is this what you mean. I’m not a network engineer, and completely new to Unifi, so, I’m not catching on very quickly.

You must use your local IP address like 192.168.1.1, do a ipconfig on your CMD (Windows) and get your gateway IP address.

Hi, is it possible to use this app for Cycle power on unify switches PoE ports? From time to time I need to manually cycle power some ports. Until now I had to go to unify console each time. I was thinking to connect it to Homey so I can do everything from one place. However, when I add the switch I see the option of PoE port but the assigned number and also the count of ports do not match. I also cannot toggle it from UI - it seems like I can use it only in flows. Naming those ports would be also nice. To start I am trying to find out whether more users experience invalid count and number of ports on switches and if more users cant really toggle PoE cycle other than from Flows. Thanks

I have been using this app for a while, and it is working just fine.
In my Unifi controller ( self hosted) I have another for my vacation home.
I would likte to add devices from that site as well. How do I do it?
I can change the config to connect to the other site, and add devices.
But when I do that the “default” site´s devices get offline.
Cant find a way to be connected to both sites at the same time. Any suggestions?

Hi Stèphan,

Since the app was automatically updated to v2.6.3, it has been crashing on startup.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to connect my Homey Pro to my UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra using the MonkeySoft UniFi Network app.

The setup guide says I need to create a dedicated Local Admin user, but I can’t find that option anywhere.

My setup:

UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra

UniFi OS 5.1.19

UniFi Network app

Homey Pro

MonkeySoft UniFi Network app v2.6.3

When I go to Settings → Admins/People, I can only add a UI Account. There is no option to create a Local User or Local Admin.

Is this option removed in UniFi OS 5.1.19, or am I looking in the wrong place?

If Local Admin users are no longer supported, how are people connecting the MonkeySoft Homey app?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Go to your local device and not the cloud portal. Did you try that? Works on my Max with latest version.
