Hi Gunter,

thanks. Register 43282 is the remote-control timeout, which your inverter model doesn’t support. The new test version (0.1.83) skips it on models like yours and uses the inverter’s default timeout instead. Could you try Force Discharge again once it’s available? If it still fails, please send me the new error message; it will name the register again.

I am publishing the test version now…

thanks for being helpful with testing.

Best, Remco

Hi Remco,

Yes, works! Doing an unload of 4A, which results in ~2100W.
Considering the battery voltage of ~530V, it checks out.
The “Stop force charge/discharge” is doing it’s job as well, but was already the case.

Thanks!

Regards,
Gunter

Yes, the S6-EH3P15K-H should work — it’s the same S6 three-phase hybrid series as the 10 kW models the app is already running on, using the same Modbus map. One thing to know: forced charge/discharge is currently capped at about 10 kW, because the app was built on a 10 kW unit. I will make the power cap a setting, so it can be set to your requirements. v 0.1.84 is uploaded to be tested.

Hi Remco, thanks. That will make my choice easier next year when the saldering will stop. I was looking for either the Pylontech H3X or the Pylontech H3 force battery with another hybrid inverter, like this Solis.

Pylontech self install is a bit unclear, it seems one should have an installer account for initial install, the H3X has some limits concerning inductive loads on the AC-out and there is (at the moment) no app in Homey to control it and I’m not sure how well it works with dynamic contracts out of the box.

Hello Remco,

Thank you for this amazing app. I have a zonneplan setup with 20kw battery with modbus and my short test this evening is helping me a lot for the next year. I will spend time for reading all the info for the best setup for my 3 other sunpanel inverters, car charger and heatingpump, and then for sure its 1000 times better arranged then this moment with waiting on zonneplan.

Hello @Remco_Bosshard

I tested today the zonneplan setup. Discharge following the settings is working great.

But when then P1 meter is negative because of to much power from my sunpanels, i cant find the way to charge the battery.

Maybe i am doing something wrong, but it can also be the limitation because of the setup

Thanks! For me for now is read only, and with the help of Claude see what I need to do to read the S6 Solis inverter …

Hi! You’re not doing anything wrong — this is a current limitation. “Cover the house from the battery” only discharges: when your P1 goes negative it backs off to 0 W but keeps the battery in discharge control, so it won’t absorb the surplus. If your panels are on a separate inverter, the Solis can’t see that export by itself either.

Could you tell me: are your solar panels connected to the Solis, or to a separate inverter? And is a meter/CT connected to the Solis (or is it set to “No meter”)?

I’m looking at extending this into a two-way mode that charges from surplus and discharges on import, both following your P1 meter. In the meantime, you can work around it with a Flow: when P1 power drops below about −500 W, stop the discharge and start a forced charge at a low current; when it goes back above 0, switch back to covering the house.
