Thanks for the feedback @Phil_Bro ,

As far as I can see on my router is the IP address of my inverter the same as in my settings in the app on my homey pro. The only thing I’m not sure of is the PORT (502) and the Inverter ID (1). I left those unchanged when putting in the settings, and that worked, until some weeks ago.

I tried also by installing the ‘sungrow hybrid + battery’ and the ‘sungrow string’. But both have the same results → no data is coming through.

Hi,

Just a quick FYI.

I’m using the Huawei Emma with Wi-Fi.

It works perfectly with the IP address, port 502, and ID 0.

ID 0 even though the inverter has ID 1.

Cheers

Hello!

Hoping to provide some useful info, I share how I managed to make the app work with my SUN2000-L1 inverter via WiFi.

I basically followed this guide provide by my installer for a similar HA integration:

[https://github.com/wlcrs/huawei\_solar/wiki/Connecting-to-the-inverter#network-connection](https://github.com/wlcrs/huawei_solar/wiki/Connecting-to-the-inverter#network-connection)

Using the Installer account, I enabled “Local O&M” on the inverter which opened port 6607 and (in my case) I used ID 0.

The readings doesn’t seem perfectly integrated in Homey (i.e. the battery can’t be seen in the Energy tab - maybe I’ll write a post about this issue later), but the communication is working!

@Janalyzer I read on onther HA discussion about a guy who had the inverter connected via WiFi and the dongle plugged in, and managed to make the integration work only after phisically unplugging the dongle. Can this be your case too?

@Edwin_Biemond Is it possible to assist you with the translation into German? I just need the correct format or a table in which I can enter the German translation.

Unfortunately, the battery storage and grid feed-in are not displayed correctly in the Energy tab in the app. I added a Huawei inverter with battery storage. The following components are installed:

- Inverter: SUN2000-6KTL-M1

- Dongle-TA22C0021855

- Battery: LUNA2000-5KW-C0

Does it make sense to simulate this using virtual devices, or are there other ways to correct the display?

yep. our solar is basically 3 in 1 system and homey is aware of that of the enhancement request. you can also ask for it. I got all the data but no fun to make for every brand another meter or battery device. Also now PV and battery are connected so bookkeeping is ok. but also need to compensate for that when it is all split up.

Hello @brasi93

I have a similar PV system and the same issue with Energy Tab.

Have you found a solution to display the data correctly?

Thanks!

Hi @Edwin_Biemond

Just realised that there is a bug or missing / broken value assignement with my emma

→ some time ago you added the total day charge / discharge and the

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex025/uploads/athom/original/3X/0/7/071a1bf1fc6898def48672ad2128950f4c9a4464.png)

- the 14.67 were the “total day charge yield”
- the 13.75 were the “total day discharge”

the values were last updated 3 months ago

→ you found them here [[APP][Pro] SolarEdge + Growatt TCP modbus - #1543 by Edwin\_Biemond](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-solaredge-growatt-tcp-modbus/45487/1543)

i’m using the values to put them in my virtual battery device for the energy tab

thx in advance

Might have a small thing here.

I use the huawei + batteri device and changed the max charging value from 10500 to 6500 on the inverter for the batteri but it seam that the device in homey doesnt reflect that change it stil say 10500. Am i thinking wrong or?

Guessing this is something of a “big ask”, but you’ve turned out to be quite the magician @Edwin_Biemond so I figured I’d put it out there!

I’ve reached out to Huawei support in order to get a proper API account for my inverter but they refer me back to the installer, who in their turn told me that yes they can do that, however they’ve used up all the API accounts they were assigned - and Huawei won’t issue any new ones (sigh!). So back to Huawei, informing them of my installer’s response, Huawei told me the following

> Now that we have OAuth 2.0, there are no limitations on creating accounts. Please take a look at the documentation to better understand the tool and how to apply it.
>
> OAuth 2.0 is an open authorization protocol that allows third-party apps to access resources authorized by owners without obtaining their usernames and passwords.
> SmartPVMS 24.2.0 Northbound API Reference

API reference [https://support](https://support).huawei.com/enterprise/en/doc/EDOC1100358266/95c18db0/oauth-connect

Would it be possible to make something based on that, in order to actually control a Huawei inverter? \*Asking for a friend..\*obviously!

need to check but the whole purpose of this app is to do local only with modbus and fast as possible plus don’t rely on the internet

main issue is this s-dongle not performing, super slow and emma is too expensive . also oauth need auth and some sort of refresh but will check.
