I’m having issues getting accurate temperature etc values in Flows. I always need to execute the flow twice the get the most recent data. Strange.

Anybody have problems with daily battery alarms from Ruuvitags? Battery’s are fine when looking the status from Ruuvi app, but Homey reports battery alarm every day and needs to be reset to get the status indicator off.

On Homey 2023 the Ruuvi app gives the following error message:
“Oeps… er is iets misgegaan bij het aansturen van Garage.”
“Missing Capability Listener: onoff”
Ruuvi tag App version: v0.2.5
Model Homey Pro (Early 2023) Version 11.1.0
App version 8.2.0.1.1481
The data is not read from Ruuvi tag…
The Ruuvi app woks fine on the Homey pro (2016 - 2019).

Hi,
I bought ruuvi tag for sauna application. Temperature measuring and starting some flows at specific temp.
Unfortunately the connection drops very often. And placing devices closer is not an option? Is there a solution to increase the range? I read things via Google but they are way above my head.
Is the gateway an option? Does it communicate with Homey or how does this work?

RuuviTag does BLE broadcasting ; if the Ruuvitag is far from your Homey, it can stay a while without being updated.
Ruuvi Gateway is connected to your local network (WiFi or Lan) ; it receives the BLE data, and forward it to your homey (on your local network). The range should be a little better, but it’s better if the gateway can be closer.
When a ruuvitag is added on a gateway, you can then add it on Homey - for now it’s in the test version of the app, but I use it without problem.

Hi,
Sauna is in small cabin in the garden. But I have very good wifi there. LAN is coming in.
So I have placed a Aerohive there.
So if I place an (expensive) gateway it would work ?
Homey is inside the house, but has to stay there for other applications and flows.
And ruuvitag is to far so I get no up to date info. Sometimes a day later loool. Not for handy when taking a sauna and want to start flows at a set temperature.

The Ruuvi Tag protocal is the same for regular and pro models. So, yes it will work.

Hi,
I bought a Ruuvi Gateway but how do I connect it with my Homey ?
When installing Ruuvi app on Homey he doesn’t find any new device…
Thanks for any help.
**Update:** gateway is reconized with the Ruuvi Homey Expirimental app but can’t save the connection. After adding API token always same fault : homey app couldn’t connect.
Some tips ?

This is what I get also. After entering the bearer token it juts says that it couldn’t connect.
In my environment ruuvi gateway is in an isolated iot network. Would it be possible configure manually the ruuvi gw address?
mDNS discovery seems to be used, but the app does not detect the ruuvi gateway. Other devices are discovered fine from that iot network such as all Shellies.
Is it possible that the name match in mDNS discovery is exact match and not a substring.
RuuviGateway2D3C.\_http.\_tcp.local.
name = RuuviGateway2D3C.local
I have also a second ruuvi gw in another network behind a routed vpn which I’d like to connect also.
Made a PR [Fix regex matching for RuuviGateway and update validation URLs by oh2th · Pull Request #30 · ThomasHoussin/com.thomashoussin.ruuvitag · GitHub](https://github.com/ThomasHoussin/com.thomashoussin.ruuvitag/pull/30), let’s hope @Ethaniael has time to merge and push it to the app store.

I can’t install new Ruuvitags on Homey anymore? It doesn’t work on 2023 or 2019 models. I don’t have a Gateway in use. Can anyone install new ones on Homey? The ones that are installed still work.

The issue with the gateway should be fixed ; I’ll check for your problem. Which Homey do you use ? Do you have the latest version for the Ruuvi application ?

There is the latest RuuviTag app (v0.3.7) and Homey has been updated to the latest version.
Both Homeys (2019 and 2023) have the same problem.

OK I introduced a bug when adding new device ; good news is I fixed it, bad news is I can’t update the app (I get an error from Homey, with failed processing : invalid\_state)
