Ask once for postal code, street and house number and you are done. The app fetches your personal pickup calendar daily from the official public Fostplus API (`api.fostplus.be`), the same one the Recycle! mobile app uses. No API key, no account, no third-party service. [Limburg.net](http://Limburg.net) addresses are supported too: choose it as the data source. ## Features - 🏠 **Multi-location.** Add as many addresses as you like (home, parents, holiday house). Each gets its own name, language, reminder windows and tracked fractions, and shows up as a dropdown in every Flow card. - 🔔 **Dual reminders.** Every location has an early reminder (default 24h before) and an urgent one (default 4h before), each with optional per-fraction overrides. For example GFT 36h early because it goes out the night before, PMD 24h early. - 📅 **Rich Flow cards.** Triggers for collection today, tomorrow or in X days, early and urgent reminders, next-collection-changed, calendar-refreshed and no-collections-this-week. Multi-fraction triggers (“any of max 3”). Conditions for today, tomorrow, on a date, days-until, or a comma-separated fraction list. Actions to refresh, get the next collection, get the next X days, build a spoken sentence, build a ready-made notification, and find the nearest recycle park. - 🔇 **Quiet hours per location.** Reminder triggers stay silent inside your window (for example 22:00 to 07:00). Data events still fire. - ✅ **Per-fraction filter.** Pick exactly which fractions you care about. Only PMD, or everything except glass, your choice. - 🏷 **Global tags.** Per location a tag for what is collected today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Use them in any flow, without a trigger card. - 🚮 **Bin put out, bin brought in.** Mark the bin as put out (device button or Flow action) and the early and urgent reminders for that collection stay silent. On the collection day a trigger reminds you to bring it back in, at an hour you choose. - ✏ **Own collections.** Add a one-off date or a repeat every few weeks, such as a Christmas tree pickup or bulky waste by appointment. With the data source “Manual” this also works for addresses no API knows. - 🔄 **Moved collections.** A collection moved by a public holiday shows only on its new date, and a trigger tells you the old and the new date. - 🏡 **Collection Point device.** Optional. Add an address as a Homey device with capabilities for next collection (text and ISO date), days until next, a counter per fraction (with Insights), an upcoming 2-day summary, today/tomorrow alarms and a “bin put out” button. - 📊 **Dashboard widget.** A “Next collection” widget for your Homey dashboard: pick a location and see a big days-until counter, the date, colour-coded fraction chips and a list of the following days. Requires Homey firmware 12.1.0 or newer. - 📅 **iCal feed.** Every location has a calendar feed. In the settings, tap “Open in calendar” or “Subscribe” to add it to your calendar app, or “Copy” to paste the `webcal://` address yourself. See the caveat below about your home network. - 🗑 **Nearest recycle park.** A Flow action that returns the closest recycle parks for a location, sorted by distance from your Homey, with a maps link and the distance in km. - 📱 **Notification preset.** A Flow action that returns ready-to-pipe title, body, colour, icon and date tokens for “Send notification” actions. - 🔧 **Diagnostics.** One tap in the settings shows a report without your address, with a Copy button, so you can paste it here when reporting a bug. - 🌍 **Multi-language.** NL, FR, DE and EN, per location. ## Quick start 1. Install the app via the Test link above. 2. Open **More → Apps → Recycle België → Settings → Add location**. 3. Pick the data source (Recycle!, [Limburg.net](http://Limburg.net) or Manual), then fill in postal code or municipality, street and house number, and Save. With Manual you skip the address and add your own collections instead. 4. Optional: add the location as a device via **Devices → +** → Recycle België → Collection Point. 5. Build Flow cards (search for “Recycle België” in the Flow editor). ## Example Flows - **Early reminder.** When “Early reminder for GFT at Home”, speak “Tomorrow morning the GFT bin is collected, put it out tonight.” - **Urgent ping.** When “Urgent reminder for PMD at Home”, send a push and flash the front-door bulb red for 30 seconds. - **Recycle park run.** When there is motion in the garage at the weekend, find recycle parks near Home and push the nearest park’s address and distance. - **No nagging.** When the garage door closes on the evening before a collection, mark the bin as put out. The urgent reminder then stays silent, and the next day at 18:00 you get “Bring the bin back in”. ## Privacy No user data leaves your Homey except the address-search and calendar-fetch requests to `api.fostplus.be`, or to `limburg.net` for [Limburg.net](http://Limburg.net) locations. The geolocation permission is used only to compute the distance to recycle parks, locally. No tracking, no analytics, no account. The iCal feed address contains a random per-location token, not your address, and it is only reachable on your home network. Not affiliated with Fostplus. ## Known caveats - The name “Recycle België” and the use of Fostplus data: I am **not affiliated with Fostplus**. The app only uses the public endpoints their own mobile app uses. - **[Limburg.net](http://Limburg.net)** runs its own system, separate from Recycle!/Fostplus. Since v2.4 it is supported as a second data source: pick “[Limburg.net](http://Limburg.net)” when adding a location. The recycle-park action stays Fostplus-only. - Reminder times use local Homey time (CET/CEST). Pickups are date-only, so reminders anchor on midnight of the pickup day. - The calendar is polled once per day around midnight. Not real-time, but the calendar does not change faster than that either. - The iCal feed is served by your Homey on your home network (port 52280), so it only works for calendar apps that refresh from home, for example Apple Calendar on a Mac or iPhone on your Wi-Fi. Cloud calendars such as Google Calendar, and phones on mobile data, cannot reach it. ## Changelog ```auto 2.5.x The iCal feed works now (it never could through the Homey API), with "Open in calendar", "Subscribe" and "Copy" buttons instead of the blocked download. Diagnostics shows on the page with a Copy button. Locations saved by older versions get the new defaults. 2.5.0 Global tags for today/tomorrow/day after, bin put out and brought in (button, cards, bring-in reminder), own collections and a Manual data source, holiday-moved collections with a trigger, days until collection per fraction on the device. 2.4.x Limburg.net fixes: GFT gets its own label, calendar refreshes right after an update, more space below the widget. 2.4.0 Limburg.net support: pick Recycle! (Fostplus) or Limburg.net as the data source per location. @LionelDerBoven Hi Lionel, thanks for the clear report — you’re right, this was a real bug. The “Next pickup” option was using the “today” prefix internally, so it always said “Vandaag wordt opgehaald: …” even when the next pickup was days away, and the date was missing. Fixed in v2.1.4 (just pushed to test). The message now reads: “Volgende ophaling: gft, PMD — 2026-08-18 (over 2 dagen).” I also added two extra tokens to the action (Date and Days until) so you can build your own message format if you prefer. Update to the test build and let me know if it looks right now. ---

Small update round since the last post 👇 **v2.2.0 — your nearest recycle park** The _Find recycle parks_ action now sorts by distance from your Homey and returns the distance (km) to the closest park, plus a maps link. Great for a flow like “motion in the garage on the weekend → send me the address of the nearest park”. Under the hood there’s also a big cleanup: all Flow-card logic now lives in its own module, which makes future changes safer (no difference for you). **v2.1.4 — bug fix, thanks to @LionelDerBoven** 🙏 Nice catch: the _Build notification_ action with the “Next pickup” option always said “Today these are collected…”, even when the pickup was days away. It now reads _“Next pickup: gft, PMD — 2026-08-18 (in 2 days)”_, with extra Date and Days-until tokens so you can build your own message. **v2.1.5 — small hardening** Flow cards with an empty or deleted location now fail quietly instead of throwing an error. @TimVW Hi Tim, good timing, I just shipped exactly that! 🎉 **v2.3.0** adds a **“Next collection” dashboard widget**. Add it to your Homey dashboard, pick which location it should show, and it displays a big days-until counter, the date, colour-coded fraction chips for the next pickup, and a compact list of the following days. There’s also a setting for how many upcoming days to list. It’s in the test build now (needs Homey firmware 12.1.0+). Give it a try and let me know how it looks on your dashboard, happy to tweak the layout. ---

@TimVW Hi Tim, thanks for the sharp feedback — both fixed in v2.3.2 (test build): - **Dark mode readability** : the text was picking up the theme from the OS colour-scheme, but the dashboard sets its own theme, so it ended up dark-on-dark. It now uses Homey’s theme-aware colours and stays legible in both light and dark. - **Repeated date** : you’re right, it was mentioned four times. The next pickup now shows just the green days-until counter and the weekday + short date (e.g. “3 dagen” · “Do 03/09”). Dropped the “in X days” line and the full ISO date. Update to the test build and let me know if the dark mode looks good on your dashboard now. Thanks for trying the app! ---

@TimVW Fixed in v2.3.3 (test build) — thanks again! The widget was estimating its height, but rows get taller when the fraction chips wrap, so the last row got clipped. It now measures its real rendered height, so every day fits no matter how many days or chips you show. ---

@TimVW Fixed in v2.3.4 (test build). It was measuring the padded frame (which the dashboard keeps at the widget’s configured height) instead of just the content, plus the minimum height was too high. It now sizes to the content exactly, so no empty space with 1-2 days and no clipping with many. Thanks for the thorough testing! 🙏 ---

Thank you for creating this app. I’m currently testing to see if I can use it to replace another app that stopped working for my location. Frankly, I would expect these to be AND cards rather than WHEN cards. That would not only allow using a standard time-based trigger, but also other triggers such as arriving home to control when a check is executed.
