# \[APP\]\[Pro\] PV Forecast: solar forecast that measures your roof and learns from your panels

Great idea!  
Two questions:

Will you open source the app? It needs full access, understandable, but we can’t see for ourselves what it’s doing.

What capability is used for the prediction? I have the [[App][Pro] Homey EMS (HEMS): Smart EMS](https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-homey-ems-hems-smart-ems/156015) by @Kaoh installed and the Solar Forecast device is not selectable as a forecast source in that app.
