v8.18.0 is ready for testing:

> **[Power by the Hour | Homey](https://homey.app/en-us/app/com.gruijter.powerhour/Power-by-the-Hour/test/)**
>
> Summarize the energy/water usage or (solar) production per hour, day, month and year. Use dynamic tariffs.

- DAP: many improvements for resilient price fetching
- Fix stuck meter due to meter jump
- Add timeline warning when multiple DAP’s use the same tariff group
- Code refactoring and optimizations
- Homey-api@3.20.0

This will improve price availability in all regions due to smarter merging from different sources. Also it fixes some metering bugs that are caused by failing / jumping source meter devices.

@Gruijter is there a way to determine whether the price for tomorrow is received (other then using the card 'nieuwe prijzen ontvangen voor ’ and a boolean? I used to look at the ‘goedkoopste uur morgen’ and if it was Null, then there were no prices for tomorrow (yet). It looks like this is not possible anymore (since the latest update?) so I was wondering if there is a different way.

In the next release you can set the flow to not trigger on forecast changes. Also you should then be able to check who is the provider of the data. If it is Stekker it is a forecast.

Hi everyone,

My Power by the Hour crashes regularly.
Does anyone else have this problem?

The error message says that the memory is full, or something along those lines.

Thanks for creating this API for other apps. [PELS Energy Manager | Homey](https://homey.app/a/com.barelysufficient.pels/) now uses it too: you can select a PBTH hourly or 15-minute price device directly as the price source. No more flows needed.

New version 8.20.1 is ready for testing:

> **[Power by the Hour | Homey](https://homey.app/en-us/app/com.gruijter.powerhour/Power-by-the-Hour/test/)**
>
> Summarize the energy/water usage or (solar) production per hour, day, month and year. Use dynamic tariffs.

- Release GRID driver
- Reduced peak memory use
- Add support for non-full UTC hour Timezones
- Fix battery charts
- Fix fixed export tariff
- Fix values lost on migration.
- Average price now excludes fixed costs
- Grid: add forecast accuracy, grid forecast and peak headroom
- Grid: improved power icons and added graphs

This version adds more fixes and reduced peak memory load. Also it introduces a completely new driver I have been working on behind the scenes for a while:

**Grid Power Summarizer (Grid Driver)**

The **Grid Power Summarizer** driver tracks the electricity exchanged with the grid at your main meter (P1 smart meter or CT clamp)

- imported and exported energy and money separately
- capacity-tariff and peak-tariff enabled
- Home load (without Solar, battery and car charger ‘pollution’)
- Self-learning home load forecast

This is the first release of this driver, so expect bugs and changes to be implemented in coming releases!

The grid summarizer seems to have a lot of potential. So far I’ve had to run separate summarizers for energy, energy imported and energy exported, the latter two requiring virtual devices mirroring the meters from my HomeWizard P1 dongle into capabilities that PBTH would pick up. The hope was I wouldn’t have to jump through such hoops with this new summarizer, but so far I’ve not been able to get the imported/exported categories to find anything.
Anything I might be doing wrong?
Is it even expected to work with the HomeWizard P1?

Also, there are two Insight graphs labeled “Energy”, I believe I’ve figured out what they show but I think it could be clarified.

When the homewizard app complies to Homey Energy standards it should be supported.

You can ask the app developer.

> **[Energy configuration - Energy | Homey Apps SDK](https://apps.developer.homey.app/the-basics/devices/energy#energy-configuration)**

> Devices in Homey can either consume energy (e.g. a light bulb), generate energy (e.g. solar panels) or measure the home's total usage (e.g. a P1 meter or current clamp). For this the measure\_power and meter\_power capabilities are used by Energy. | By...

Yeah, I sort of expected the HomeWizard app might be a problem since it uses “consumed” and “returned” sub-capabilities instead of “imported” and “exported”. But I built a virtual device to experiment with the right capabilities as I understand them and that doesn’t seem to work either, only meter\_power and measure\_power is detected.
The EV Charger (Easee) isn’t included either. Looks to follow the standards but I may be misreading it.
Anyway, even in it’s current state I’m happy with it and feel that it helps me cleaning up a bit in the energy clutter.

Hi,
I have the Sessy P1-meter as grid-meter but when I want to add the Grid Power Summarizer (Netstroom samenvatter) I don’t see the Sessy P1-meter as option. Is the Sessy P1-meter not compatible? Or is there a setting which I have missed?

I don’t see this icon, only Shelly icons of power meters which do not measure the grid.
I have set the Sessy P1-meter as follows:
