I have a problem with the water meter, unfortunately the water meter does not register the meter readings.
This is a homewizard water meter.
It does register the meter reading the first time.

Gas today, Sunday, on PbtH.

```auto
"0":1.3677,"1":1.3677,"2":1.3677,"3":1.3677,"4":1.3677,"5":1.3677,"6":1.3666,"7":1.3666,"8":1.3666,"9":1.3666,"10":1.3666,"11":1.3666,"12":1.3666,"13":1.3666,"14":1.3666,"15":1.3666,"16":1.3666,"17":1.3666,"18":1.3666,"19":1.3666,"20":1.3666,"21":1.3666,"22":1.3666,"23":1.3666}
```

But in the ZP app is it still 1.3677 because on Saturday and Sunday the price are the same.

The gas for tomorrow, Monday, on PbtH is the **whole** day 1.3666.

@Theo_de_Koning Looks like a little offset in the last decimals.

For me EGSI and 0,7796 are correct for Zonneplan gas.

Yesterday it was OK with **0,77956** for the 1,3677
The problem is that gas prices on Saturday ans Sunday . ZP is doing that.

Waiting for tomorrow if ZP is going to €1.3666 after 06:00.

I found something strange in the battery monitor.
According to my Zonneplan app there was a usage of 40 watt and also in the zonneplan app of Edwin Biemont.

In the monitor device it gives a minus value:

With the risk that this has already been asked before, but after scrolling through the topic for over half an hour I gave up:

Is it possible to have 4 separate counters for:

- Import high / low
- Export high/low

I have a Youless P1 meter, but now I only get a total value.
With solar panels it is also interesting to know total import/export values. Especially with regulations changing in a couple of years.

Additional question:

I also have a 3 phase Shelly power meter for my heat pump. All three phases are reported separately. I can of course use 3 PBTH meters, but I only use the aggregated number. Is there a way to do that automatically? The first Shelly device of the three actually reports the total, but PBTH does not use that one.

(Off topic: I recently migrated from Domoticz and am quite satisfied so far, but the graphs that Domoticz generates are far more useful than the standard “Insights” from Homey. Just copy the Domoticz views I would say to Athom).

Question about negative prices (which I have not yet experienced):

- For a positive spot price, I use a variable markup of 22 (VAT).
- For a negative spot price, there is no VAT, so I set a variable markup of 0.

However, when Price Now is negative and price +1H is positive, how can I best use PBTH DAP?

When the marked price of a particular hour \<= 0 then no BTW/VAT added.

For **Gas**.

The “Provide prices JSON today”, **Monday** , is incorrect.
`{"0":1.3666,"1":1.3666,"2":1.3666,"3":1.3666,"4":1.3666,"5":1.3666,"6":1.3666,"7":1.3666,"8":1.3666,"9":1.3666,"10":1.3666,"11":1.3666,"12":1.3666,"13":1.3666,"14":1.3666,"15":1.3666,"16":1.3666,"17":1.3666,"18":1.3666,"19":1.3666,"20":1.3666,"21":1.3666,"22":1.3666,"23":1.3666}`

From 00:00 - 05:00 it was 1,3677

Sunday had this JSON file look that way but with 1,3677 from Saturday before.

Both.
First my I idea and logic how I think. Question why not.
My answer: how it can be done.

Lot of us don’t even know about no tax on negative values.
Then per hour calculate for themselves is totally unreal.

Your thinking is right, but the question is what PBTH actually does or should do.

While the general (EU) principle for energy supply is that negative energy prices are not subject to VAT and reverse charge VAT mechanisms do not apply, there are exceptions: UK has specific rules for renewable energy certificates, which may interact with negative pricing scenarios.

Norway, not in EU, aligns with EU. Outside the EU there is quite some regulatory uncertainty. In the US, some states may consider negative prices as a service provided by the consumer to the utility, potentially subject to sales tax. Other states may treat negative prices as a reduction in the overall electricity cost, with no specific tax implications.

Therefore, it is safe to for PBTH to set a 0% VAT for each of the new prices that are negative. Hopefully @Gruijter can confirm?

I am not 100% sure how VAT is handled for negative prices in NL. PBTH now just multiplies the market price with (1+VAT/100), and I believe that is what is correct for NL.
But I do know that each country or even area has different markups and exceptions. It is virtually impossible for PBTH to handle all scenario’s out there. But I do try to accomodate many of them.

Thanks. Even when electricity prices are negative, the energy tax will be added (incl. VAT). This means that in most cases the amount charged to the consumer is still positive and therefore taxable.

In 2024, there were only 7 hours in 2024 where consumers got actually paid for a total negative amount. And I agree with you that in the Netherlands the consumer probably received 21% on top of the negative charge. This is very generous and may not be in line with EU regulation, therefore I am not sure how long it will last.

Estonia (EU )example: negative rates are taxed at 0%. Same for Germany.

Perhaps the most flexible would be an option in the DAP for the tax charged on negative rates. Tax could be a negative or a positive number:

In case of negative rates:

1. A consumer payout is increased by 21%: like today in Netherlands
2. A consumer payout is reduced by a tax eg. -21%: in countries where a negative rate will be viewed as taxable income to the consumer
3. No tax: 0%

That the gas price is official that one on 06:00 but is not to see in the JSON file of tomorrow, Tuesday 7 January.
The gas price is **€1.3423** for **00:00** (?) - 23:00

But from **00:00 - 05:00** is the price still €1.3666. That of today.
If you take a flow card for the “Gas price **Now** ” then you go wrong from 00:00 - 05:00.

Have you got the tariff working yet? I think I have the same problem as the tariff hasn’t changed since I added my battery.
I use the same DAP which works perfectly for other pbth devices but not for “home battery monitor”.
