Does it work with your app? Where would I put the URL when adding the device?

Hi
We dont have the same charger but I had a look at the pdf, you can try:
1. Install the app
2. Add device
3. Note the IP and port thats is shown at Homey OCPP Server app
4. In your EV charger:
Domain Name: the IP you see at step #3, e.g. 192.168.1.11
Port: 9000
user pass: leave blank

Hello,
So I configured the setting but there is no way to leave the user/pass blank. Any option on your server to accept any username that is being sent regardless? I think I can leave password blank at least

The app doe snot support user/pass yet.. most probably your physical charger is requesting a user/pass as min security so will not work.
You can try and let us know š

Hi,
As discussed by email, Iād like to request support for a true charging pause by setting the charging current to \*\*0 A (or 0 W)\*\*while **keeping the OCPP transaction active** , instead of sending a `RemoteStopTransaction`.
This would make solar surplus charging possible without requiring the EV to be unplugged and reconnected.
Iām happy to test a beta version with my **CTEK Chargestorm Connected 2**.

Thanks Stefan this is a useful feedback and we implemented it and thank you for testing and confirming that it works.
We are submitting it to certification now so that everyone can benefit.

I would appreciate something that replace the statistics from common ocpp servers in the cloud. I.e. if you could find a way to show session statistics. I.e. timeline logs or something more advanced of each session. I.e. start time, stop time, kWh charged would be great to have!

Another thing with my setup with a CTEK Chargestorm 2, is that it doesnāt report in the icon, nor the status page, the current W/V/A ā¦
Is that something the charger is not sending, or? Can I debug this myself somehow?

Hi Most likely the charger simply isnāt sending the power/current/voltage values. In OCPP thereās a setting called `MeterValuesSampledData` that controls which measurements the charger reports, and chargers often defaults it to energy only. Two quick things to check:
1. Are the readings blank while actively charging? Most chargers only send live measurements during a session, so a plugged-but-idle charger showing 0 is normal.
2. If itās still blank mid-charge, the chargerās `MeterValuesSampledData` config likely doesnāt include power/current/voltage.
I can have the app _ask_ the charger to send those values automatically on connect, so you wonāt need to touch any charger config but it will only work if CTEK supports it.

This is tricky, as we cannot query server side BUT we can add info on timeline that shows how much a session charged in stop message notification.
Can you send me a message from OCPP Server app page, clicking to Suggestion link so I can send you a test app?

Since it was reporting sessions to its vendor cloud service, the box have abilities, itās just a matter of understanding all the configuration values. š
I have now turned on that it should report all possible data all the time, and also a bunch at a sample rate of 60s.. I hope itās not causing too much traffic to homey.
But if there also is a way to ask for the values the ocpp server would like to have, and can handle, perhaps it doesnāt hurt to do that?

Yes, by telling the box to send these values, I get a lot more on the homey device status page at charging, and also the summary on the icon. Problem solved.

Hi,
I have a Garo GLB+ that I connected to the app and it seems to work. I can start and stop charging and I get all the statistics when charging. But Iām a bit confused on the slider used to set the output power. Iāt seems that I need to set it before I start to charge. If I adjust it during the charge nothing happens. According to the box documentation it should support āOperator Current Limitā and that parameter should be possible to change during a charge. Is this the parameter that the slider chages or is it something else? Is there any difference between using the slider or adjust the power in a flow?

Hi;
Good to hear that it works with Garo GLB+.
The slider does control the Operator Current Limit (it sends the charger a charging-profile current limit over OCPP).
The thing is _how_ we currently send it: as a ādefault profile,ā which chargers like your Garo only apply when a session starts so changing it mid-charge is ignored.
To adjust the limit during an ongoing session, it needs to be sent as a ātransaction profileā tied to the running session, which the Garo does support live.
i will add this to our feature request backlog, and will include this to the next release š
And to your second question: thereās no difference between the slider and setting power in a flow as theyāre the same control under the hood, so both will benefit from this fix with the next version.
ETA for the next version: September.

Hi!
Went from 1.0.5 to the test version (1.0.8), and things started to look nice on my CTEK Chargestorm 2 box. But when creating some flows to just charge using solar surplus, I noticed that when setting any Target Power between 0 and 4140, the box delivers three times 6 Amp. So I had to calculate my āsetā value to either be 0 or āmy valueā, if āmy valueā was above 4140.
Perhaps you want to make that calculation in the app instead? Or document this to be a feature, if you want the box to deliver the minimum failsafe level if turned on?
ā¦ and maybe release the 1.0.8 version to the community. It seems to be stable enough.
